    Crail this month

Anyone up for a random Crail outting? I'm thinking just a RWYB day so it's a bit quieter on the strip and "time attack". No dorifto for me yet though, need lessons from DK lmao.

    I checked their "webs(h)ite" recently.

IIRC it's some sort of jap day later in the month and then a RWYB this sunday

Yeah, I had a look, but due to the unique way T-Mobile broadband works I'm on a mega go slow today! Sunday is too close and it's already been recognised as an official of monging it up after Dave's birthday night lmao. BTCC is back too . I think there's one in September (4th IIRC), but this might clash with the BTCC at Knockhill.

    I need a diary lmao.

    4th is indeed the BTCC.

Tax is out on the Corsa at the end of the month. Hmm..... Tax it again or be a grippit sod and hibernate it over the winter...... not like I will be using it in the snow........

It'd be worth going just to watch the Ford big guns making the Vauxhall boys looking really silly!

I suspect we've got feck all that could compete with a 400bhp+ Cosworth!

    Still, good fun trying though!

    Re: Crail this month

im game for a bit of the old dirty blue oval bashing,

my weapon of choice will probably be the gte as the vxr is on 19" and that wont help for a start and it is standard so will look tame agains tweaked rafts lmao so gte it will be

on the plus side i can abuse it and not worry about blowing the gte up so

will keep an eye on this and see if it materialises

    Re: Crail this month

I'm game for run up for this. Granted with 140bhp and 140tons... I'll not be doing any blue oval bashing, unless of course it does literally mean "blue oval bashing" in which case I suspect I have the correct weapon for such a task.

I have to admit I am a bit partial to Ford goodness . Well proper stuff like FRPs, Cossies and most things with an RS or ST200 badge .

    Re: Crail this month

    I have a bit of a situation...

My wee sister is up the first week of September, bringing her Cav SRi up to leave it with me for a few weeks for some TLC and an MOT. Now, it needs an clutch and if I'm honest, the old X20XEV isn't sounding good so looks like it'll be getting a new one. Of course, when the engine is out it'd be totally irresponsible to fit the C20LET and F28 I have sitting. It'd also be totally irresponsible to strip it out, stiffen up the rear end, fit sticky tyres and then take it up to Crail....

It's that or I vote we chip in and buy the biggest pile of unassuming rubbish we can... and make it rather quick and then see how many things we can beat/break.

Cue the A-Team music... and bring Jaffa Cakes

    Re: Crail this month

I'm thinking either an R1 engine'd Bedford Rascal or a right scabby old Mk3 Cavalier 4x4 with grey bumpers and duct tape arches... and 300bhp+ 4x4 running gear.

Lugy's good at this sort of erm... ghetto fabrication, game on!

    Jack said,

Surely you are only pulling it one way though? ie. you are pulling it along its length.
