Ok folks...
Time has come to get the ball rolling for this one as it's now just a week (ish) away. As far as I'm lead to believe, Knockhill will be allocating pre-booked areas for the clubs based on numbers attending and only those people ont he list will be permitted into the show area. If you're name's not down, you won't get in to the stand and will be directed to the public parking so I would stress you check the main thread and ensure you're on the list. Don't blame me if it isn't!
When and where...
Knockhill opens to drivers of club stand cars at 08:00am and all cars must be in and parked by 10:00am at the very latest. Now, I reckon 08:00 is a bit keen so I would propose we try to be there between 09:00 and 09:30am.
On that note, I would also suggest the MAIN meeting point is as follows:
Place...
McDonalds Restaurant
Fife Leisure Park / Duloch Park
Junction 3 of the M90
Dunfermline
Fife
KY11 2AB
Google Maps
Time...
If we can aim to leave at 08:45am we should be at Knockhill just after 09:00am, so obviously if you want to get some breakfast then try and be there in good time to scoff it and head off...
Other meeting points...
Dunfermline is south of Knockhill so depending on where you live and what route you are taking, you may need to drive past Knockhill to meet at Junction 3... if you don't want to do this then feel free to post up suggesting a meet point to the West (Stirling/Alloa?) or the North (Perth/Kinross) if you want to do that instead or meet up with some guys local to you and head down. That's up to you but the main meeting point will be Maccy D's.
Making your own way there...
There's nothing to stop you making your own way to Knockhill and meeting people in there. Just indentify yourself to the staff, make sure you have tickets/cash and then make your way to our area. If you're they're first or one of the first, I'd respectfully ask you sit and wait till others arrive... don't just abandon the car and disappear as we need to do a bit scyncronised parking to get us all in. No idea what ize/shape of stand we'll be getting though I will be at the track on Saturday so will endeavour to find out and post it up if time allows.
Your conduct...
Here comes the lecture kids. Obviously you guys will be representing Mig and thus it goes without saying, please don't act like an arse eitehr driving up there or whilst on the stand. Only 17 years olds with Fiestas find amusement in bouncing their cars off the limiter all day. It's not big, it's not funny. Similary, whilst we all appreciate some tunes, DJ Knobrot distorting out at 1.5million dB isn't really where we're at. Nobody is asking for an immaculate stand, we don't care if you've got rust or flies everywhere and we don't care that you're not wearing his and hers matching club T shirts... all we ask is that you don't act like a tube!
Any suggestions/issues/questions/DJ Knobrot requests... feel free to fire them up but if you could post up who's meeting where, jsut so we have a rough ide of who's meeting at Dunfermline and who's making their own way/meeting elsewhere.
Cheers and see you there!
Dunfermline for an 08:45am departure
Dave
