hey anyone on here heard of rust 2 rome?? basically came across it on facebook as a sponsored site... quick details are from edinburgh to rome approx 3000 miles all in a car that costs £500 or less sound like a good laugh and amazing drive for more info just type rust2rome into google/facebook, just thought i'd let people know as i'm sure everyone on here is enthusiastic about cars and driving

Aye there's numerous events like this happening. Staples to Naples, Czech Wrecks, Scumball rally... all follow the same basic principal. namely drive very quickly whilst acting like a twat and then drink loads of beer. Which, being fair sounds like an average Mig Scotland random Sunday drive. Quite fancy doing one though would be a dear game thansk to fuel prices there days... though I can claim one of my old cars managed it. Had a 1995 Volvo T5 estate which some dude bought, drove to Rome with his mates and came back. I can only assume his fuel bill will keep Shell in business for the next 45 years at least.

lol, funny you mention a volvo, i'm sure in the pics on rust2rome facebook site had a volvo, think it was white, lol, yeah i was asking them and they said that fuel is the biggest cost and a trip is usually about £1500-£2000, i'm gonna start saving as much spare cash and go next year i think... lol

That was it, Rust2Rome. If it was a white M plate T5 estate driven by a couple of Asian chaps... then that was mine.

I did the Barcelona Bangers. Got 3rd place in best car. Barcelona Bangers - Banger Rally June 2012, wicked holiday but be warned it aint cheap!!

I've done the Scumrun twice, formally known as the Scumball rally. We worked it out at about £800 per person once the whole bill was broken down between the three of us. That of course included everything from purchase of car to red bull on route lmao.

Is that just the night in ibiza? Lol. French roads are around 250euros to go through, diesel, redbull, insurance booze, but its all worth it. Heres some pics of our car
