Last year we were taking my dads boat out for the winter to get painted, we choose a wet day which was probably a mistake, while puting it on the tressles to paint underside it slipped off and went through a couple of planks.

My dads put off repairing it while he installed a wood burning stove for my mum and now its done hes looking to get the boat repaired.

The boat is a wooden orkney clinker 16 and a half foot in length made out of oak and larch. It requires one gunnel and two planks replaced, maybe more work required but not sure.

Anyone know any decent boat repairers near glasgow area or is anyone a boat repairer who wants a homer.
