Erm not that am against it but a dnt think that would be my thing, am all for meeting up other members but these arrangements have to be done outwith the club space.
Youd be better asking admin and see what they think.

However post the details up to let all know and am sure someone will come along and lock the thread.

I'm game for this tbh havnt been in ages!

I hope this thread doesn't get closed as we could make another mini meet out of this if we have enuff cars. Aslong as the weather is good. Fair enuff its not a vauxhall only event but neither is knockhill crail ect. Could also get some cracking pictures out of this too, the wheel is a good place like.

Gsi_2009 you attending fife meet on Sunday?

    Cheers Marc

Admin dnt take kindly to arranging cruises within the club forum marc, however if gsi posts up the details then the rest can be arranged in another method.

Don't attend as the police presence is through the roof. And it's a total chavfest. Prefer owners clubs meets to be honest

    Re: Falkirk Sept Meet

It just aint my scene, not to say that everyone shares my views.

Personally i don't like the continual "harassment" by the police, constant "routine" checks.....best record in falkirk is 4 in the space of 3 days. Every cruise i have attended have been polluted with feds and vosa. Every owners club meet i have attended has been relaxed and never had a need for a police presence, kind of speaks for itself really.....

I am the last person to want to stereotype, but the cold hard facts are that falkirk cruise usually has at least one nutter that attends driving like a lunatic, usually in a saxo/corsa/106 but this very rarely happens at an organised specialised meet.

For example, falkirk circuit...plagued with 1.2's revving their tits off, whilst a 3.0 supra, scooby, bmw and a few very highly powered cars look on taking nothing to do with it. Why is it the small engined cars get driven like tanks, and the bigger engined cars get babied........common sense.

It is a real shame, for every nutter there are probably a good few innocent sensible car enthusiasts, but in the local press they are never going to get a mention. Always going to be what the law have achieved at "another successful crackdown on the boy racers" Yet again car enthusiasts getting tarred with the same mankey clogged up brush.

To reiterate i hate the stereotype as i have been there myself, but when you get older you get a faster car, and appreciate it a lot more. Unfortunately Falkirk cruise nights are easy pickings for the law therefore will always be heavily policed, and the innocent motorists get caught up in the image. If you have tints and an exhaust it almost a guaranteed pull come the first thursday of every month.

Just a wee rant before bed

EDIT: If anyone decides to attend get a few pics, ones without police if possible. That is if you haven't been pulled and the camera confiscated

    Re: Falkirk Sept Meet

Christ sake dave.. your well on the ball with the ranting!... true and agreed but a cnt seem to understand the concept of this boy racer status and spending most week day nights and all weekend sitting in a local car park, its hillarious though as av seen a fair few top end high performance motors parked up.. and think why???.... but then again there probably still scrounging off mum n dad and there weekly digs reduced so they can keep them on the road..lol..

Must admit though i did attend strathy cruises alot in the hay day with the escort n focus but as we all eventually do..we grow up and part from the 1 litre class and upgrade while taking our maturity with us.

    Re: Falkirk Sept Meet

I'll have a word with a few guy's at the meet tomorrow and see if anyone is up for a small convoy there and back. Will talk to a few mate's aswell see if they fancy it. don't worry the mate's aint chav's lmao I'm the young pup of my mate's and I'm 23.

There will be the usual group of idiots both young and old but going will pass the time and beats the usual Thursday night either out Kirkcaldy getting mortal and not worring about going to work the next day with a hang over or pulling the head off it while looking at the latest videos on Pornhub!

As for the police presence and the vosa boys standing there with their tint maching, tyre depth gage and what ever other party tricks they can pull out of their hat to give you a fine! I'm not a fan of them either but heyho they have a job to do and I'd rather they take some of the boys and girls cars of the road or issue them with a warning there than have them run into the back of my car because their car just isn't fit for the road. Plus you always get a laugh at some of the cars there lmao.

If anything is to be arranged I could give out my number or email to arrange something as I do not with the clubs name to get tied in this in anyway.

    Cheers Marc

    Re: Falkirk Sept Meet

I agree totally with your points, and for every one bad experience there will be an opposite good one. Just speaking from my experience.

I just find the cruises far too heavily policed for my liking. i have nothing to hide but the constant opposition to the cruise by the residents/police make it the same boring argument in the Falkirk Herald every few months. I have attended in the past, with my chavmobile i will admit. But i never drove it like an idiot. And sorry to say there is always one that does it. Why i have no idea as all it does is draw unwanted attention and bad publicity AGAIN in the local press. And this enables Pc Doughnut boy and Constable Chippy kebab to go public on how it was "another successful crackdown on the problem boy racers"

They never listen to the innocent car enthusiast.....and never will
