Scottish Rolling Road day. Who's game?

    As title really.

I'm thinking either late September or October so that the show season is well and truly finished and it gives a chance for some tweaks to our motor's

Dastek in Dalgety Bay would be my shout again unless anyone else has any suggestions.

p.s. - I'm thinking of inviting another club so we can ensure at least 15 cars rather than scramble about at last minute for numbers again like the last time.

    Cheers

I'm game. Please remenber that I only have a standard Corsa GSI so if needs be for numbers can give up the space to someone else. If numbers are all good I'll run the lowest bhp of the day!

i might come along for a nosey. aint running on the rollers until i sort out my cat back and get my new turbo sourced and fitted. got a blow so it's either a snapped stud or a cracked manifold. Either way an excuse to buy a new tubby.

Re: Scottish Rolling Road day. Who's game?

which dates are a no go for everyone?

The way i'm thinking of doing it is.... getting 15 names minimum, collecting the full price via paypal in advance then booking the RR day. Last time I took a small deposit, forked out the booking fee on my credit card (£150 iirc) and prayed that everyone turned up.

Re: Scottish Rolling Road day. Who's game?

I have arranged a couple of days at star performance in the past for clubvs and they have been excellent, never had to bother about deposits or get a minimum number, Jim is very good that way

End of October would suit me best but hopefully make whatever date is chosen.

    HI Stevie,

Got any links to threads on club VS of the RR days you have arranged? Their website looks good but I'd be interested in seeing rome "real world" reports and feedback.

Re: Scottish Rolling Road day. Who's game?

I went along to a RR day with AOC at Star before and wasnt too impressed. Fair enough it was just a power run, but they didn't even stick a Lambda in the exhaust to see how the AFR's were doing. I even asked the guy if he could stick the Lambda in because I had just got the car and wanted to make sure all was ok. He refused.
That was probably about 2 1/2 years ago mindu, could have changed.

Never had a problem with Dastek the past few times ive been along.

Will see what date this gets booked at, having injector issues so once there back after refurb al stick it on and see what am losing..lol.. think mines has dropped around 15-20% but putting this down to 2 faulty injectors. Failing so and al pop down for the banter.

If you're short of runners and run at a R/R that allows Nitrous (dastek do), I'll happily bring the Bavar along. Always interested to see what power the LET's make.
Sandwiches and laminated printouts!? You widnae get this at AVA...

Re: Scottish Rolling Road day. Who's game?

Melv, i will have a look tonight and send you the link as i am at work and viewing on my phone. Our first one was featured in TV and i think it was around 27 cars that ran, it was also turbo dave who covered it before he was a full time tv man, maybe he could add input if he see's this

Cmac i think your right, i dont recall them puting in a lamda into the exhaust, in fact i do not recall ever getting one put into my exhaust at any of the rr's but i have not used dastek before. One thing i will say about star is there figures do seem to be accurate, and that goes across the vx spectrum from what i have seen.

I am happy enough to go along to dastek as i have never been there, i just thought i would add another option that would not involve the same hassle for the organiser.
