Re: Star Performance. Ive been using Star for rolling road's since around 1999/2000. Wouldnt hesitate in using their rollers, Jim's first class and never had any hassle with any of the cars he's ran for me, wouldnt hesitate to go back.

Id be up for this, but its really date dependant.
Couldn't think of anything good to put in here.

Re: Scottish Rolling Road day. Who's game?

Any date is good for me tbh and if its star its only a stone throw away from my house. Spoke to my mate who has a very big power car at he said he would be up for it but like most depends on the date.

Two questions: 1 can my mate come along with car that isnt a Vauxhall? 2 Does anyone know how much bhp the rollers at either Star or Dastek can handle?

    Cheers Marc

Hmmmm, I'll pop along though I might avoid the rollers, wouldn't want to steal the lime light in the KTE Works racing car .

Although I guess the Disco could make an appearance if I ever get it fixed!

p.s. - I'm thinking of inviting another club so we can ensure at least 15 cars rather than scramble about at last minute for numbers again like the last time.

Why dnt half the fife reg go to this then,we had over 18+ at the last meet so could be worth popping along to say hello. Most at the fife meet were up for this when talked about so should be a good one for u melv, a time date and some numbers?

Aye, seems Evans Halshaw were on the phone the other day... it's apparantly due it's annual service and they can do it for an exceptionally competative price. I wasn't sure, but they said they would give it a courtesy wash too and well, given I haven't washed it since PVS, needless to say I took them up on that frankly marvellous offer. I'm just a bit dissapointed they refused to collect and deliver too.

Sheeesh, customer care really has gone to **** these days...

I would come along to this, been wanting to get the V6 on the rollers for a while, not interested in going to star performace, been there before and wasn't impressed in the slightest. any chance of TV covering this dave?

Re: Scottish Rolling Road day. Who's game?

Dastek / HQ Garage / whatever their name is now it is then.

    Spoke to Russ there......

The only weekend they have a booking at the moment is 9th of Oct. Saturdays are better for them meaning that if we want to book 1st October we will have to all get our finger out of our arse.

    10 - 15 cars = £45 each
2 power runs, print off showing BHP, Torque, AFR, etc

    16 - 25 cars = £35 each
2 power runs, print off showing BHP, Torque, AFR, etc

Get the names up please. As soon as I have 10 names I will book the date with then and I will be asking you all for a deposit via paypal.

    eg. Name, car, FWD/RWD/4WD
    1. Martin / Corsa / FWD

Re: Scottish Rolling Road day. Who's game?

I'd regard Russ as one of the best rolling road opperators I've seen, seriously knows his stuff and there's none of this "on, thrash, off" crap that alot of other places seem to favour. Plus the facilities at Dastek are pretty spot on too... last time we went, we even got some sandwiches.

That and it's about 289yds from Mrs Reid's house...

    Win.... win.... win.

Although i don't want to play, I just want to watch!

I'm not 100% on this though - not sure if Big Bus will be properly sorted by then, when do we need to book by? Although if Keith isn't coming then I'll bring the BMW for him lmao

Re: Scottish Rolling Road day. Who's game?

would love to take the rally car over and find out what its got before mull but im afriad its too big a risk, aside from the fact its anything but cpmfortable, it wont be too long on the road by then and will still be getting tested so id rather stay close to home/rescue!
