Whoops lol, I clicked on 'new posts' and went nuts!!!

Well 80mm is a guess, how much would you say it is??

The coilovers are some german ones, I got them through Hatton Performance which is owned by a friend. However this german company messed him (and me) about something cronic so he told them where to go.

As far as I could tell they were no different spec wise to JOM's (except the material quality is better). The rears are simply fitted without their adjusters, the fronts have had their tender springs removed and the platforms set quite low too.

Its no probs mate am glad as i like a good coupe, the looks of it your fronts 60 and so is the rear, any lower and the rear bumper fixings in the wheelarch would need to be cut and a new bumper fixing made up for the rear bumper quaters, although you state the arches have been rolled them mabey the bodyshop done this mod too but youd know about it!.. gorgeous coupe and a bugger to keep clean i bet.

My excuse is i dont have pics.lol.How the hell have you managed to squeeze 164bhp out of the 1.8??Sounds rather optimistic.
Was going to go to the meet but was waiting on a txt bk from my mate, then he txt me saying he was through theyr but no1 was theyr so didnt bother. He never knew use had moved to the P+R.lol.Not sure about Crail. Its a possibilty tho as i do like the USSC events at crail.

Yeah i think ive seen that white 1 through at U-pull-it in the car park. Not touching the engine in mine.Be like polishing a turd. Its never gonna be quick compared to what ive had and its just for kicking about in really.Trying to get the bro to swap me for his 2.2 Mk4 Sri but hes having non of it........the now.lol.

Hmm im after lowering springs,de-badged grille and a DD exhaust/single outward rolled tailpipe backbox if he has any of that. Can get the grille for 13quid but i cant be arsed with the waiting for it.Oh and i need a 1400 16v manifold if he has 1.Mines is cracked.

Re: Your motor & mods as it stands

LOL... with splashing the cash mate.. the coupe was rolling roaded 132bhp, av put enlarged throttle body and exhaust with 200 cell cat, uprated injectors and chip/mapped/tweeked, then the limiter was removed and the filters derestricted with the egr blanked off then mapped again rolled then tweeked and final roll 164bhp, as optomistic as it may sound its cost me over £2600 to gain 30bhp and top speed 130mph.

Have a mate running 215bhp out of his 1.8??? not impossible but he has spent in excess of £7-8000.

Next time we meet av no prob handing the keys over if you want a go.

Nah i just thought that wouldnt be possible on the standard inlet.I know they respond well to breathing mods, just didnt know they were that tune-able.That is a big wad of cash you have thrown at it non the less though and fair play for doing it to the 1.8.

Re: Your motor & mods as it stands

Tell me about it.. or in other words tell the gf..lol.. next up is dbilas cam pulleys and software but am looking at another £2000+ and have been told will make at least another 8-10bhp..so thinking now leaving as is and doing little touches here n there.. ma coupe looks good and a love ma motors, if you trail back to fast ford mag 1994 ma escort 1.8 pumped out 200bhp+ but was a rs2000 engine cnt miss it as half car black half was white, and ma focus tddi made feature showing 262bhp in 1999 and this was a diesel and started life at 90bhp but spent in excess of £5-6000 couldnt miss this either as front end was purely carbon fibre, had a dump valve n everything well 3 a year as it kept buggering up!...went for the sleeper look to start then got daft as carbon body parts arrived, so in the end went for focus rs but engine blew and decided the coupe was bought off enthusiast and snapped it up.. not going crazy on this though as have more kids and now need bigger house so its needs must!

Ma mate has all the dbilas turbo conversion and quite simply truely amazing but you do have to upgrade the pistons, cam, tappets ect ect... a wouldve just bought the turbo model, but its his cash his car, hes coming to the next meet.
