    Need a little advice please.

As a few of you might know I manage to get myself a low milage Corsa Gsi. Only modifications are the smallest K&N cone filter on the market and some 'Devil' back box that looks and sounds for want of a better word pish!

So my plan was and still is to get a standard air box and rear silencer (depending on price a genuine Vauxhall one but found out a few years ago that the use BOSAL) to get the car back to standard. I want to keep the car looking as standard as possible at the moment, then with time change parts for performance (suspension, exhaust, brakes maybe intake) but still keep car looking the same.

Before I go and order a new air box as the part is a non stock part was wanting to know what you all think? Have seen a few people have the standard box with panel filter and have drilled the bottom half. Need your advice on that please.

I also need advice on oils, I'm heading down to castle combe in August and want to give the car a really good service. Think of changing every fluid so need advice on what brand of oil and what grade for engine and gear box. Also going to change the brake fluid and the coolant along with the coolant bottle as it has seen better days to be honest.

    Cheers Marc

I'm not really getting why you want to put it back to totally standard and then start modding..... fair enough if you plan to keep for concours, or sell as a mint example....

Airbox / K&N Cone .... keep the cone but try and box it off from the engine side (heatsoak will do nothing for performance)
Coolant bottle - if it just needs a clean, I hear dishwashers are great for cleaning them well.

Going standard the now because I want to modify it proper using the right parts but need a fair amount of cash to do that. Been looking at inlet manifolds and there aint cheap lol Same with the exhaust whats on it the now looks and sounds pants, but not sure what to go for so for now I thought stanard.
