    Newbie with new car

Hi there, another noob joining up. Had a few vauxhalls over the years but only just decided to buy another after dabbling with a few other cars for a while. I missed my griff so here is my latest addition.

Spec list, a lot more than i first thought.

Stage 1 remap producing circa 240bhp, no dyno graph but got receipt
All new hoses, pipes to turbo done and the chrome piping
    cambelt and water pump done
new radiator due to a leak in the last one
    lowered 50/30 on eibach springs
    Alloys painted
    Every Mot from new
    Full documented service history
    new AFM last summer
TRACKER!!!!!! Never even advertised the fact that it had one.

Now for the best bit, genuine 49k miles, turned as i brought it home, Mot till December this year, tax till january.........all for £4900

So future plans are to fit some graphics (migweb) and a few others, install an alarm system. Also have some team heko wind deflectors to go on. will post pics up when i get round to fitting them

    Comments welcome, good and bad

welcome to the funhouselmao nice gsi you got there, has it had a new turbo fitted? as you tend to hear of standard gsi turbo's going at around 50k other than that, car looks spot on

The standard turbos only blow because of the mods done to the car, if you carry out all these mods and dont upgrade turbo your asking for disaster, same as adding a VXR turbo. If your running a Gsi turbo on a VXR turbo with plenty mods, that will blow just as easy as the standard let turbo. Thats why you hear of so many Astra VXR owners complaining about how sh*t the turbos arelmao

Cracking looking car all the same, and i wouldnt worry aslong as you treat it well. Enjoy, im sure you'll have plenty fun with it!

Mods mean nothing to these turbos they break without mods anyway. As do the vxr ones.

only problem is the slight holding back jitter i get through the rev range, and there is a major thread about it on aoc, seems like a common problem after a map. apart from that it's all good.

Took it a run tonight and grabbed a couple of pics

    Got these for a laugh.

There is a certain car running around thinking it's a ferrari and can beat anything. So i thought i would have a reply for it. A bit tacky and probably be back off by monday, but for now it shall be staying.

    Opinions welcome as always

lovely looking car! Keep thinking of selling my prodrive kitted sri for a gsi, and imo silver is the best colour, second to arden blue or red
