Day trip to M-Sport in Cumbria

This idea was started by a boy on Scottish Old Skool Escorts We know it's Ford that use them, if this puts you off then go elsewhere . It's going to be a once in a blue moon oppurtunity to see WRC cars being built and all the behind the scenes work involved to keep them running at the top.

Now the bad bits, it needs to be a weekday so we'll all have to take the day off unless you're off already. Personally I can take any day, I say we do a Friday in late Feb/early Mar if possible. Secondly it will cost money. We need to have a minimum group of 20, it costs £200 for a visit, so that'd be £20 each.

If you're (or wives/friends/uncles/etc) definitely interested in coming then put your name down below along with your preferred date (19th Feb/26th Feb/5th Mar/12th Mar), I'm sorry if we can't please everyone, it's just the way it is.

Re: Day trip to M-Sport in Cumbria

Your best bet is gonna be the 26th Feb, as the workshop should be pretty full.
19th Feb - don't think all the cars will be back from Rally Sweden by then, 5th and 12th March - cars will be away at Rally Mexico.
There'll still be a few other cars in the workshop, S2000 Fiesta's and R2 Fiesta's, but during a WRC event the workshop tends to be pretty dead.
You get to see a fair bit of the place, but obviously they don't show you everywhere, get to see the trophy room, museum room - RS1700T, Escort Cossie, 99 spec Safari winning Focus, Mk1 Escort ect ...
    You's will enjoy it.
No longer the owner of an LET'd Nova ... Good times !!

Surely you are only pulling it one way though? ie. you are pulling it along its length.

Re: Day trip to M-Sport in Cumbria

    Guys, we have a problem

M-Sport Factory Tours are held on most Tuesday and Thursday evenings between February and November
If the Merc wasn't broken I'd have discovered this sooner.

One bonus you could say is that no one should have an early start.
