Been a while but the tx box issues seem to have been resolved woth some grease and the rattle was one of the screw type caps on the propshaft were loose and not screwed on. No more rattling

Then there was the gearbox mount. It had fallen from the chassis on one bolt. A trip to my mates house and a bit of mig welding later the mount was securely back where it belonged. All driving sweetly and no issues what so ever.

Then last week when accelerating from a set of lights. Not harse i should point out, i heard a bang and the gearstick started moving with all acceleration. I thought the gearbox mount had fallen again. After a quick look i noticed the gearbox mount had cracked in half where the 2 bolts go into the mount.

Not a problem new mount has been sourced and will be fitted this week sometime.

Also i was not happy with the trip computer, its all scratched and made the dash tatty, im just fussy.



New one from ebay for £5 so didnt break the bank lol



Looks much better now.

I also have a battery bag to go on as specks keeps pointing out lol
And the dump valve fitting kit finally arrived.



Silicone afm pipe will be removed. i only used it to see if my other one was cracked leading to boost problems.

Well the new trip computer turned out to be way out of calibration showing i had 900 miles of fuel so i changed it with the old one and managed to change the glass, all is well again.

edit - wanted to as though, what would cause a mount to break like that?

Powah is en route, got an xe inlet cam to start the process.

The mount snapped like that im guessing when i first had trouble with it, the mount itself was hanging down and only one bolt holdng it. Once i welded it back up i guess the stress of it hanging down weakened it and made it crack. all sorted now with a tasty new bracket and ready for some 6k launches.

Anywhoo, My trip computer carry on has carried on. After having the other one in and then changed back to the original comp, it seems to have taken it out of calibration for some reason. I dont know why as it is the original one that was there in the first place. Any ideas guys?


Anyway. Another 600 mile trip this weekend to see if the gearbox mount was any good lmao
