| Re: MIG Rolling Road Days ? dont bother with AVA is my first suggestion lol
Not a fan of theirs, but even that aside their rolling road set up and method is different from anywhere elses and IMO poor. They measure your car at 500rpm intervals under steady state conditions, ie putting a brake on the roller until your engine can't push it any faster, a stalemate between the rollers and the car, at each interval, with the foot flat to the floor. This A - is not representative of how a car goes through its power band on the road, B - puts the engine under max load, C - means the run takes a lot longer than it would on an inertia run (like every other dyno does) so your getting everything hotter and under more strain than it needs to be.
And then you get a power @ wheels figure, no estimated flywheel figure, no torque figure unless you ask for it, and they'll slate everyone else thats ever worked on your car while your at it.
Have had my old car and my missus car on at various intervals years ago and wouldn't go back, not been for years but that was my opinion then and from what I hear nothing has changed.
Always used Dastek for RR days, get a decent service, 2 runs, plenty of info on the car when you get the printout back, wheel bhp, fly bhp, fly torque, Air Fuel ration, boost (if applicable) etc, they cover all the bases I'd want covered on a power run.
