| monthly meet suggestions Alright peeps, its that time of year again that the clocks have changed and the light nights are on there way now.
im just wanting to see if anyone would be interested in making a new meet place once a month on possibly the last sunday of each month.
im thinking somewhere pretty central possibly falkirk/stirling
i know last year that the dunfermline meet fell on its arse due to it attracting the attention of the ned brigade.
im thinking on somewhere pretty quiet to a certain extent, possibly falkirk wheel or something. any suggestions would be appreciated as its something we are needing as a region, too many times have we came up with ideas and its fell through, i would like to eventually get some form of regional meet underway over the next month or so

| Re: monthly meet suggestions Would it be a possibility to alternate the location between places? Maybe 2 / 3 / 4 different places?
I up for driving to somewhere central as I do feck all on a Sunday anyway apart from have the odd hangover .
I appreciate that Scotland is a big region and that getting everyone together means that people have to be willing to travel but having meets at different locations should keep people interested. We would then also have a different location for group/individual pics and it would mean different roads for the trip there and back.
Meeting up and looking over each others cars would, I feel, be great for the first couple of times. Alternating locations would also give us different opportunities for activities at each place and things like bowling etc can be an excuse have a good laugh together.
One downside to this suggestion is that people would only go to the meets closest to them. Although I understand someone wanting to do that it would dilute the impact that meeting everyone would have.
Thats my input so far but to be honest I'm easy!! |

Not only does it guarentee a good turnout which in theory should bring people along we are also making good links with other clubs in the region !
I know for a fact that the VVOC RC's are up for it & we have the backing of the Admin on here to meet up with other clubs.
Just a thought |

| Re: monthly meet suggestions I think we should try and get some interest in the Dunfermilne meets again. Used to be some good turn outs there and IIRC it was a sort of "global" meet with different clubs.

| Re: monthly meet suggestions yep,id be up for a few mets this year, never made any last year, and only made 2 car shows aswell.
Any plans/dates for the next one? Reckon a simple carpark/pub food meet would be ok for a start?
