Places to see in Dumfries Area?

Bit of a random thread but I'm off down to a wee place called Kippford tonight for the weekend, If anyone from down that way knows it, its Quite near Dumfries.

Can anyone from down there recommend any places to go and see while I'm there. Somethin to keep the missus happy lol .

Cheers

Cheers for the replies guys

Ended up not really doing anything at all except shop lol, As the weather etc was so crap, went to Dumfries and went to Gretna too. I'f I'd been on sooner and realised I'd have popped into that Museum as we were on the A75 anyway.

Cheers again
