Pistons & Components

Has anyone used Pistons & Components in Glasgow? Needing full kit to rebuild my C20XE and was thinking about giving them a try. Does anyone know of anywhere else i could get these parts locally?

My mate used to work for them and they were good but expensive.

They moved premises and changed staff/owners so no idea now.

im not really looking for uprated stuff. Would rather have good quality OE spec. They aint working out that much dearer than my other quotes at the moment.

The guy i was talking to said that the stuff he is supplying is:

KS Winston(sp) main shells, bigends and possibly rings, Either INA BGA or Ijuica(sp) lifters and Elring gasket set (head and bottom end). The total was around £325.

Anyone know if this is any good or know of anywhere else i can try?

Cheers David

i cant wait to get a car on the road again, not having one after being used to it for 10 years is like having your legs cut off and driving my mums people carrier is almost as bad.

they only have one shop now, in the weige!! the shop in edinburgh closed and mark the manager from the edinburgh branch went to work at engine services at rosewell, however he was headhunted by elring (gasket manufacturers) and has since moved to newcastle to work with them. the other guy who worked with mark at edinburgh now works with dingbro at leith and still has all the same contacts. so ask there.
