Sounds like a plan, might need to fold the back seats down. Though if you strap it down, leave the tailgate open and hit the switch could we perhaps be the first people in Fife to make an old Volvo estate do Mach 1?

Hmmm, yes and no. It's an 850R so same basic 2.3 5cyl turbo as the T5 but different map so circa 240bhp. The Focus uses the crap engine that Volvo didn't want so gave them a job lot and tried not to laugh as Ford went "Awesome! Cheers!" as it's the 2.5 5cyl turbo, which Volvo used in a few models. Base Volvo spec is circa 190bhp but the bottom ends aren't as strong as the 2.3. I worked with a guy who had spent shitloads getting his RS to 300bhp - rods, pistons etc... he almost broke down when I pointed out the 2.3 does that with a remap. Anyways, it's been great so far... current average mpg in 9. Yes, NINE! Hopefully the novelty will wear off soon and I'll ease off the throttle a bit. That or she'll be on ebay along with my liver, kidneys and bollocks.
