The clutch is getting done on my 306 tomorrow. Suppose the cold + your old knees / hips wont really go together well lmao

For its MOT the bloody 306 needs - Discs x 2, Front bearings x 2, rear bearing x 1, passenger steering boot and a side light

Do you guys do kitchens at work Neil? Removing old fitted kitchens and putting in new ones?

Surely you are only pulling it one way though? ie. you are pulling it along its length.

306 is on the drive at the moment but I'm taking it over to Newmill tomorrow and will get my hands dirty helping someone who knows what they are doing. Keeps the cost down too.

It's not a whole kitchen I'm after as ours is fine to be honest. Its just that under the cutlery drawer there are 2 other drawers. On one the back is missing and I can't bodge some thing on to it to stop the contents falling to the bottom and the one below it has no base, back or side to it. just the runners and the front part lmao Just seeing if you have to 'skip' old units / drawers and maybe I can scavenge bits from them lmao

TBH i'm toying with the idea of a redtop for the Astra, selling the whole thing and putting the engine into either a Nova Saloon, Corsa B or a Mk3 Astra 3 door and having a play thing sitting for the weekends. i want to keep the 1.8 so I can do the under 1800 class again lmao pointless probably but what the hell, be aswell doing it now before I'm married / have kids lmao

Nova saloon might be fun but the corsa has been done to death! An old mk1 astra XE

Novas and MK1's are usually rusty as hell, corsa redtop has been done to death IMO but it does make sense. MK3 would be my preferred option but TBH I've not the mechanical know-how to change engines and **** so I will probably never do it. To hell with paying a garage to change them over, I'd rather spend the money on home improvements

getting halfords vouchers for my birthday (29th of Jan people!!) as I've 16" OZ's, 15" 205GTi alloys, my 17" Masitaly alloys, 2 x sets of 15" sport alloys, 15" sport steels and possibly a set of BMW wheels (before I sell them) to refurbish lmao.

What are the guys plans for the MK1?

If I tackled the XE into the MK3 and the corresponding swap into the track slag I'd end up with 2 fcubared engines and 2 powerless cars lmao

The clutch on the 306 and MOT work is prob going to be £10, £15 at most per hour at most and going by the last bill its not going to be made up for at least 3 months lmao
