ooh, would depend on what i was doing to it (dont have any gear making kit )

im rebiulding my rc car as we speak, well the leccy one anyways

and come up with a possible plan for a car. me dad reckons i should get an MG midget/B or a spitfire. keep it with the same engine (for resale purposes) and make a nice well turned out race car.

my other idea is a dolomite with vx or jap power

i can gie it a go.

the reason behind the MG is the endless supply of parts, desirability, tuneability. just got the image to get rid of lmao

dolomite would be really cool though. rust wont be a problem, its not exactly going to be seeing much road use

nah, not my sort of game that.
it could be done but it would take days. and loads of monies. better seeing a specialised gear maker and make a small batch of them, then sell a few via ebay, etc.

just having an amusing altercation on vvoc, someone seems to think that my car isnt faster than a 330d (which has been proven once or twice) but their 3 ltr was only just quicker than 330d but could sit on the back of an m3 lmao

do people think that because a 330d is a bmw it suddenly becomes the fastest car on gods given earth? lmao

anyways im off out for a bit. mind and get that flywheel pulled of

No probs, Its fast cos it has a bmw badge! Most bm drivers get confused when talking about speed! You just have to remind them its how fast you travel, not the stuff you put up your nose! lmao

morning all! adding to my thread on vvoc....lots of random facts have been brought in about different cars.

an e46 will do a quarter mile in the mid 13's. dunno what relevance this has to a 330d. and we've also come to the conclusion that we wont compare crail quarter mile times with pod times because the people seem to have judged what crail is like without even been anywhere near the place. i think its just because my cheap, ageing vectra is on a par performance wise with one of the boys £10k car

it is really fun actually. back to winding them up lmao

well that says it all. my cheapo motor has 11 more bhp and a 1/4 mile* 0.2s quicker lmao

*although that was crail and thus non comparable with pod

Your argueing with Dan Gliballs, so Id give up now, he knows everything end off and cant be told different.

However you are wrong about T8;s not being that fast.
Couldn't think of anything good to put in here.

it was rather comical. IMO id say that a T8 wasnt a really fast car, there are plenty faster skoda vrs and vag diesels kicking about.

but IMO its the package that makes the difference. maybe its because i have been brought up with bikes all my life and am heavily involved in motorcycle racing. (ps id never say my vectra was a fast car either )

The T8 package is good but a T8 diesel even in a straight line will sit with the likes of a VXR all day long. The only area that the T8 looses out a bit is because of the power band you have to change gear that bit earlier than with a petrol.
