It's dead? A shame 'cause it was a nice car. Only metal at the end of the day though.

Salvage buy back for the win. You might even be able to claim a hire car for 2 weeks or so after the claim has been settled (I was able to when my 190 got hit, but I chose not to), thus giving you the time to get the gearbox out the Astra and into the Corsa with the engine, then back on the road when the hire car has to go back.

Spend a week or so stripping the Astra at your leisure, give the shell to Ivan to scrap and get an ultimate for sale thread up

Cheers folks. Sh.it happens. I'm bloody lucky that's for sure.

    R.I.P. 1995 Astra Sport 1.8

Lucas - I won't be buying it back. To hell with all the hassle at Christmas time. I do have an 09 plate Corsa courtesy car now though FTW!

Rick - I do have some bits that I will sell although the headlight switch is slightly chipped and I didn't get the electric windae switches.

the coupe has been de badged, new tailgate trim strip fitted and amp and sub rigged up, also went over to mickey gsi's work tonight and got a quote for having the front bumper painted along with a few other bits touched up

200 quid. result much cheapness, gonna try and get him to do it between christmas and new year all going well

that just leaves the alloys after that as the ones that are on it are hellfrauds specials
