no it dont drill its own wells. i needs a jack up rig to come alongside and mounts this one and it drills.
yeah tours like that are good cos its cool to see other things.

there is companies that does stuff offshore for joiners.

stephen. im not sure how much it is. i have never paid for it cos the company does. i think its roughly 500 for 4 years plus u need a medical.

Its the ocean guardian, we got taken off it by crane

because of fog, no choppers

looks foggy dont it.

ps, CortraGTE, that rig in the pic, its a drilling rig, its floating, also why they are called floaters,

also known as semi submersables, they get a tug boat in to move and also can move by their own propellers

the weirdest rig i have been on is the hummingbird. its a fpso and its round.

I was on the jack up as a joiner years ago. Biggest jack up in the world, maersk inspirer.

Have you been on the ekofisk in norway, thats some complex, ill look for a pic lol

found one, the facility now has an extra 2 rigs in it, most amazing place ive been to on earth in the middle of the sea. its immense.

i seen it when i flew to norway at 23,000 feet and its massive. only issue is has the seabed not collaped a meter or so cos the noggys have taken so much oil from the field.

the maersk innovator is the second biggest jack up, seen that too, its in that norwegian feild now at the top right over the last rig, its huge, also been on the maersk gallant thats in the bottom right of the pic.

ive never heard that, but norways the place to work, you have to have your survival suit fully on before take off and landing, hood up the lot, and its a much bigger suit than the uk ones, you sweat like a pig.
