im applying for my old job back, DHL certainly aint what its cracked out to be. feel mega pissed off and depressed. nothing to do with the managment. just the actuall job itself is really getting to me. i would rather go back to lifting fridges and furniture up and down flights of stairs as it was no where near as demanding as what im doing now

i dont mind the driving the hgv, the bit that i really really hate is when we need to spend an hour or 2 handballing boxes fromm pallets in to the back of shops, as the stock room is always either up or downstairs, we spend about an hour running up and down flights of stairs with boxes. it doesnt sound very much but it is very physically demanding and takes it right out of you. long hours aswell
it isnt what i thought, i was expecting to turn up at a shop and wheel a pallet or 2 in to the back of a shop and that would be it, get the customer to sign my sheet and then be off in the space of 10 minutes but spending an hour or so running up and down flights of stairs with your hands full of heavy boxes aint for me
I know exactly what you're saying about lifting things. Once at work we had to deliver loads of metal work for sound mixing desks up 3 flight's of stairs to a top floor flat. I don't envy that work at all

dude just get the shop workers to do it. there taking the piss, just dump the stuff and say your insurance doesn't cover you passed the door of the shop!
