If fitting to the astra all I would need to do is actually fit Engine, g/box and Ecu as the mounts should be OK and the brakes on 1.8 Sports are the same size as astra GSi's.

the C18XEL was 126bhp when it was on the RR last time but the ss manifold was fitted after that.

Melv - Sell your van to make the monies back, buy Keith's XE, fit it to the astra but make it look standard and clean. then tweak it a little. As for not having done more than an oil/filter change! Sort yourself out man!

I'm getting pissed off with the van (don't ask) should I -

1 - Rip the XE out of it, service it and fit it to my Astra sport then sell off as much as I can from the van and scrap it?

2 - Sell the sport and continue with the van?

3 - MOT (due in 2 months) and tax the van and sell it the way it is.

4 - other (not involving a LET Neil lmao ) ?

Bearing in mind that the most I have ever done to an engine is change the oil, filter, plugs etc. I have no space to change an engine over. I have a 306TD that I use for work so being without a car / van aint a problem.

stop papping about, XE out the van this weekend, into the sport this weekend... me and barry done his engine change at the side of the road in northfield over 3 days (2-3 hours per day) and thats seen him back up to the broch a few times so all good lmao
