Right, where do I stand here?
I got a card put through my door by these guys offering free scrap collection. Result as my Mk3 as due to be scrapped after being stripped. Gave them a call and they said they'd come round the next day. I said at the time that the car was stripped and all it had on was back wheels and shocks with some interior parts and I'd be needing the wheels/shocks back as they're part of sets.
The wheels were left on for 2 reasons. 1: Locking wheel nuts that would have to be torched. 2: Ease of uplift really as it was sitting about 50yrds from the road down my driveway.
They never appeared next day, called the same number again, no answer. So I just left it and thought I'd get someone else to collect.
The following week, they turn up, unannounced in a newish black Mitsi 4x4 with a trailer. They decided they would need a truck to collect so left and returned 15 mins later with a truck with winch.
I reminded them about the alloys and shocks being returned and was told this wasn't a problem.
A week later I called the number again to see about the alloys as I hadn't heard anything. And was told I would be called back as the guy "wasn't at the yard" no call ever came and now I get no answer on the mobile / landline.
I think I've been stiffed.
