    Thumbs up Rust Prevention

hi lads have any of you had this done to your car ?

    Oiling ,undersealing and rust prevention

i know Zebart used to do something like this

there is a guy near Edinburgh that does it and he has quoted me £100 to get my calibra done

this is what he wrote to me

(hi Lee,we can oil the underside of your calibra for £100 ,for this we can spray the oil onto and into any areas /voids which we can access this will give protection to most of the vulnerable bits , if you want the inside of the doors ,1/4 panels etc treated also i will need to have a look and see how the access to these bit is ,i,m not to sure how rast prone these areas are on the calibra or if its neccessary ,give me a phone and i can discuss further ,cheers for now jonathan )

    what do you think

    cheers Lee

its very advisable, aslong as the chasis legs, arches and awkward parts of the floor pan and boot floor are done well then i would strongly advise it,

p.s where abouts is this guy based as im on the lookout for a pristine condition nova at the moment and would like to do the same as what your doing to your calibra to try and keep the thing as rust/rot free as possible

I'd certainly investigate whether your car is 'sound' enough to be worth it....
if rust has already set in then it needs cut out.

Their is a ziebart place is out past the docks on that road with all the car dealers...seafield road....between leith and porto belly !

thanks, ive saved ogilvy car restoration in my favourites, may come in handy in the future, especially as im looking for a nova, (we all know how much rust they accumulate over the years, even though im looking for a concourse class nova theres still got to be the odd bit of rust somewhere underneath it)

Keep up, Ziebarts not been there for year now

Coo does have a point though,is well worth having a good look around the car to make sure that the cars condition does warrant having this carried out, as if theres rust already there, this will end up sealing it in and making things worse in the long run.
Couldn't think of anything good to put in here.
