rolling road / other activities? for the scottish region.

awrite guys

im looking to orginise a rolling road day for us scots. before the show season(and if all goes to plan, one after show season also.)

i was thinking around late april, early may would be a good time to have it, because most folk with projects should have em finished by then, for the shows :P

now the last one was at Dastek, was also thinking about wallace performance, i heard they got rollers installed, but im unsure to their location and contacts.

dastek's setup was good, and the prices were pretty good. think it was 25quid a car.

but as always, the more folk we have, the cheaper it will be. ive noticed alot of activity from scots on the forums these days. i think its time we all had a meet up.

im also trying to think of sometime to have a meet just to get everyone together, gettin to know folk etc, but im trying to find an activity for us to take part in, as opposed to turning up in a carpark, meeting everyone, then getting board and leaving.

i was thinking paintball. team sport(more involving and exciting than football

), will get everyone mingling etc, i know a mate with a paintball site, so it would be relitivly cheap as paintball goes. this would maybe happen around march? if folk are interested.

so then, i know there is alot of us out there, let me know what you think.

Wallace performance have accurate rollers from what everyone is telling me.

But you wont get anyone will to travel that far.

There was meant to be RR day over on CTOR in December last year but we decided to put it off, might be happening this year once cars are back on the road not sure tho...

Was going to be at Wallace Performance.

but then again, no1 has actually said, hey ill go..... which is somewhat dissapointing given the turnout of the last one....

Yeah was planned a while ago, not sure whats happening now but am sure the local lot would be up for it when their cars are all running correctly etc.

im thinking the 6th may would be a better day, tis further away, and most likly going to be nice weather.
im puting a post in car talk atm to try and drum up interest, not many folk look here :P

Last time i spoke to Gavin about a RR for CTOR he just told me to pick a day and if he is free he will book it and he gave me the costs etc.

right then, wallace have contacted me and bassically they are free any time.

dastek in fife
or wallace in aberdeen.
the rolling road setup is inconsequential, because dastek installed wallaces rollers, so neither is going to be more accurate than the other.

dazzi, would u guys be willing to travel to fife? i know its a fair distance :/ but its a fair distance on the flip side also

I am not entirely sure what car I will have then.

Got the coupe up for sale and trying to get a nice cavvy gsi, but hard to get a clean one.

I will book that day off theough and hope its a decent vxl I have. Saying that, I might still have the coupe. If circumstances change.
