    OK. Lets do something properly...

I am up for having a central meet somewhere, well, central so that all the Scottish members and tag-a-longs can get together. We are fairly well spread out but going to Perth for example is fairly middle of the country.

When is suitable for most if not all? I work in a hotel so would need to give warning that I need a Sunday (or Saturday) off to get there.

It has been talked about before and it never happened. Would just be good even if its a once off.

I propose Sat 28th or Sunday 29th January. Its a non-official thing so members and users alike can come.

I will be there. I know Bodster will go (he aint on here much or at all now but still has 3 vxl's!)

    Who else is willing?

im thinking about getting monthly meets sorted out, but getting my car back on the road and uni work atm taking precedence.

i have asked quite a few times for a second scottish coordinator to be added (dazzi_gsi) hes a northerner, so would be good for coordination between north and south.

the problem i have, is that i have to work weekends to keep afloat during term time, so i wouldnt be able to attend meets during the day, so they would have to be later on in the day/night..

as i say, once ive finished me car(next few days) and some uni work, ill get something sorted

dazzi doesn't have a driving licence so that poses a few problems.

I would step up to the plate but I very rarely get weekends off so its not much use. Any meets I would organise would be a week day!

Come back to me in June... will be able to attend meets then. Saying that i can now aswel but i seem to have to fix cars every weekend

IMO Scotland would be better with three co-ords.

As said, I would offer but I doubt I would be able to get to many meets unless they were on the occasional Sunday.

Stuff it. Work can either put up with me getting some Sundays off or lose me to a 9-5. If we had a central belt co-ord (CraigG), North-East (Dazzi) and Highland (me?) it might work.

There's not exactly a lot of people up here to co-ordinate though!!

3 Co-ords? From what ive seen were strugglin to get 3 people to a meet which is a bit **** but hey what you gonna do? I would be up for going to the RR day but i cant make it that weekend im afraid. But if we get a meet on the go im up for it what about if we posse up and road trip it to edinburgh for edinburgh cruise on the 8/4/2006?

Thats what i was thinking. Right enough it does seem getting a decent meet together proves a problem up here.

Likes of Project-Vauxhall (local run site) has just over 100 members and they had a mini-meet in February if i remember correctly and when i turned up about two hours after the meet had started there was still plenty of folk there as well as more arriving and from what a remember there was only two 'kitted' cars there so not as if it was full of chavs. How we can not get a decent MIG meet together with this amount of members is beyond me.
