they are in Ayr mate. and let me tell you this, the level of workmanship has decreased so much over the past few years at that place they are running the business on its past reputation. i have seen turbo manifolds made from them that have wrecked turbos as soon as they were fitted and a lot of other botches aswell.

    where are you from?

RMS Engineering in Prestwick? The SS exhaust place?

My advice is do not go there. Used them for an exhaust for my Corsa in 2001. Wouldn't go near them again.

I've heard C+C exhausts in Hillington are run by 2 guys who used to work at RMS when they were good. I suggest going there instead.

take a trip further out, go to simons custom exhausts in east kilbride or elite custom exhausts in ayr.

That new place on the western road next to arnold clark in kilmarnock does exhausts but dont know of any one whos had any made

    Re: RMS Engineering

    Lo all,
Yes RMS still exists and is still in business, there workman ship hasn't slipped, maybe they way you drive your car could be the problem
Just because of 1 bad experiance doesn't make a company bad, If it did I wouldn't take my car anywere or buy anything.
I've been a customer of RMS for years and I've had many cars which have all had stainless steel exhausts fitted, A few mainifolds and also some custom builds, and tbh I've never had a single problem. (plus everything you get has a lifetime guarentee, so if for some strange reason it does go wrong, simply go back, sorted)

    Re: RMS Engineering

2 attempts at fixing my 2 buckled alloys and they still failed and shredded my tyre while putting it back on the rim. 3 times my mates mk2 cavalier blew the baffles out the backbox they made and youre trying to make out theyre good at what they do?

The guy wi the glasses doesnt even have decency to take his headphones out when he talks to you so you have to shout at him so he hears you.

Sorry mate but no, RMS are ****e at what they do and have a cheek to call them an engineering company as well, i wouldnt trust them to make an exhaust for my lawnmower.

I hope a moderator removes the comments about the guy who left, I dont know them but this is an accusation and shouldnt be on a public forum unless it is proven to be true.
