Shecht, I forgot this again , well then again I was trying to get the other car fixed up.

I take it, it's every 2 weeks then, if I'll try and remember the next 1.

Can I please remind people that the regional meets are for members to meet and non members to attend with a view to joining the club, going to one meet to meet a few people and get a feel for the club and its community. The meets are generally not for non members to keep turning up too without joining.

u also cant really stop non-members sitting down next to some members in a public house and having a chat can you

ive met a few sound folk at the first 2 meets i attended and now consider them to be mates, and if my mates are going to a pub to have a drink and a car related chat i'll prolly be there too

they just become migscotland meets and dont get reported if thats the case TBH.

I so far as these meets go, as aragorn said, its a bunch of members meeting in a pub, if a couple of users happen to bump in to them then so be it.

I can see the merits of paying membership to the club for shows and stuff, and I dont begrudge them my 20 quid, but we are forever being told that it doesnt contribute to the site, so its only for show stuff, scottish region meets have no financial backing from mig. I intend to attend PV, but will probably be on the RB stand tho. I can understand some people not wanting to stump up cash they dont have to meet up with like minded people in a pub of their own volition.

The other thing which has to be borne in mind is that meets are only successful with a decent turnout, there are very few miggers in scotland, far less members, and I cant see all of them paying 20 quid for the privelage. If mig wants to kill off the scottish region by trying to make money from it, carry on!

Thats pretty much what any meet is TBH, in summer its in a nice location with daylight, in winter its in the pub, we could arrange it all between ourselves and just go, but at the moment its a mig meet with an open invitation.

I got my member stuff through the door y/day... I thought yey at last! But the issue is mega old... I now see why people dont wish to renew. Will i be sent an up to date yin? I think they are not made yet but C'mon that old???? Got a sticker and a keyring though!!! . If non member turn up then imo so be it. If only a few people turned up it would destroy the scottish region...
