| Kenny does it fairly regularly. Dave has done it once.
If I remember correctly (dont take my word) it about a tenner to get in and £35 for the track. Passanger is £5.
You just come off the track and line up again in the queue, when I was down with Dave we must have done about 5 sessions, maybe less.
Fantastic fun. Highly reccommended even in the passanger seat. |

| 35 for the day, or for each track session?? Would valver brakes with dot 5.1 fluid survive, or will I warp the disks?? Whats the run offs like as I cannot afford to bend the car in any way!!!!! |

| I would avoid the regular hot hatch days mate, as there is a degree of contact at some of the sessions, nothing major normally, but a fair number of the cars are bangers and the owners don't care if they get a bit knocked about. There are a few beginners sessions with stricter rules, but they don't come round that often. |

| I took my granada round about 3 years ago, was great fun. Some1 cracked my back bumper tho as he was trying to physically push me and i got a stone chip on my windscreen. I went again to spectate last year and everyone was taking it really seriously and competitivly as if they were some kind of pro race outfit. Anyway, it didn't look that much fun and there were some ****ted cars because people were totally ragging them arround trying to keep up with 500bhp evos and stuff. It would be more fun to go to a private/club session where people know your a beginner. |

| Dont know if there is beginners sessions, I could be wrong though. Most hot hatch days have the cones out on certain corners to help you get the racing line. I'll be up for going to a meet, will take my brothers 205. http://www.knockhill.com/trackdays/schedule.php |

| Had a look thru the site. I fancy the look of the skidpan stuff when Im feeling a little more flush. The track day prices, I preume thats for the whole day, or is it for each session of ?? laps? It says you dont need an MOT, presume tax isnt an issue either then, but what are the insurance requirements?? Is there anywhere you can borrow/hire helmets from as i dont have one and dont fancy shelling out for one for a day or two.
Quite disappointed they didnt have a map of the circuit on there?
Decided to see if I could use it some night, when it was quiet, looked at the tesing tickets, 300 quid!! Might be worth it if I lived next door tho! |

| When I went it was £25 to get on the track for the full day, I think now its £8 per run. Think I got about 6 runs it total. You need an FIA approved helmet, I took my old motocross helmet. The guy said was it FIA approved and I said yeah, so he let me on. Apparently you can hire them there for pretty cheap, but the inside of them are like all green and fungus etc. Nobody asked about track insurance, or measured exhaust noise, checked tyres etc. It may have changed now but the whole place was pretty slack with safety when I went. map of track |

| How much is a helmet going to set me back roughly, might be worth it if Im going to do a few?? Theres a lot of straight on that, and some very sharp bends, looks fun, but hard work by comparison to likes of donny! |

| I have been to almost every hothatch day for the past 4 years, so you'll probs have seen my car on track if you've been.
Track days are £35 for the day, normally between 5 and 7 sessions if you keep joining the line.
Helmet anywhere from £50 upwards, hire is only a couple of quid.
Astra valver brakes with decent pads and 5.1 will last no probs, I ran mine for long enough with them.

| I might try one of the beginners days then, Im half considering getting something for trackdays If I like it, as I cant afford panel damage on the nova.
What should i be looking for in a helmet then?? |

| You will like it so be warned........... its totally addictive.
If you are worried about pannel damage I'd be avoiding the normal hot hatch days, the drivers there are all nutters
Take a look through deamon tweeks (or similar) at the open face (rally driver type) helmets, after having tried both types open face is the only way to go. |

| Been up twice. Got to tool about in an Astra Coupe with a free invite from Vauxhall, and the second we went up to a hot hatch show and shine thing a couple of year ago with the Performance Nova Group i think it was arranged by Steven Latimer and got to take our Nova on to the track for free for 3 laps!! Its a great track, especially the first right hander after the main straight!! Very addictive. Would love to do it again when the Nova's back on the road!!
