| GTE V6 T3 Nitros Plan I have started to get into action on this because i want it 80% done by september. so far the car is sripped of everything and is on 4 axle stands plans for it are:
Body:
outside has been rubbed down to bare metal for the paint job (high shine black) and inside also...the flat square arches have been cut out and front arches have been welded in ther place, bonnet will have a scoop fitted, doors are de-locked and will have flush mk3 handels put in, tail shall be smoothed over and the plastic roof strips are removed and filled, fuel filler hole and cap are to be moved, fuel tank has been removed, cleaned and resprayed, underside of car has been cleaned to bare metal and sprayed ready for waxoil, bumper ordered from autofashion has been delived (looks an ugly thing but i have my own plans for it to make it look good), rear bumper is still being designed.
Engine:
Have a calibra V6 which is being striped and following work done,
steel rods
APR bolts
lightened fly wheel
2 mm steel head gaskets
Garrett T3 turbo placed above the gear box
Designing exh manifold
nitros system with slow release to aid turbo spool-up then shut off at set pressure.
3 lt cams
mappable ecu
Other bits:
the dash is from a mk3 astra..got it from the scrap yard for a tenner and did a paint job on it...put it in the car for a test but its in a storeage box at the moment.
the fuel system that sits under the car at the back is ging to ba transfered in to the boot along with the battery.
rear seats are scraped and a fake floor will be put in to hold the nos tank and amp.
bucket seats and harness.
v6 hub and brake set-up
display lights (under neons, side light switches, ect)
set of smiths dials in stead of digidash.
phew.
im hopeing to get a web site set up this weekend to put the pics on and progress the work.
as a taster here is a pic of the dash when i tested it out first time. |

| best of luck with everything, and it does sound ace.
But if your taste in interior design colour has anything to do with the outside of the car, I hold little hopes. |

| at the top of the stearing collum you have a arch of metal that held the old dash...you can cut this away or do what i did and shorten it to hold the new dash...the fuse box and looms are being re work to get rid of the stuff i don't need but i will be using the mk3 fuse box...the central consol and the part that goes around the gear and hand brake fit ok...bit of paccking needed around the center bit but it fits ok....its very easy if you give it a goe...but use a mk3 astra dash...and not what i did first and use a mk 3 cav dash..its 1 inch to big each side... |

| the car is going to be as smooth as a babys bottom..
i was trying to look for a 'better' gearbox...some told me the f28 would be a good choice and i did hear a chat about a 500bhp box avilable for vauxhalls but cannot find much on the web. if any one can guide me to a better one it would be a help. |

| Did you use a sanding disc on the end of a grinder to get the paint off? I plan on doing the same with mine when it comes to the respray. |

| The sandind disk's are brill...i got them from a shop called Wilkinson for a fiver..one disk will do half a car and will not touch the metal...i think they sell them in screwfix also.
(115mm. Removes paint, varnish, rust and scale without damage to metal, wood, fibreglass, granite, brick and stone. Non clog. 8mm arbor.)
The arches are just astra mk2 or 3 fronts cut and put on to the rear. |
