| Re: GTE V6 T3 Nitros Plan Busy weekend again..im now about 90% near to finishing the rear suspention for the 4x4..next week it should be all on and the rollcage finished aswell ready for painting.. below are some pics of the modifications i had to do to the suspention arm to make it fit the astra mk3...the rest shall be on the website im doing with all of the mods i have been doing to my gte.
the rear tube-beam is cut and a solid 38mm steel beam pushed in to strenten and extend the unit.
the sub frame is drilled and steel plates and bolts are usd to hold the arms in place.
the bolts go all the way in to the boot area..now the beam is in the right place the steel rod section and beam or welded so the whole unit is solid. |

| Re: GTE V6 T3 Nitros Plan OK here we go....turbo setup..starting on the pipe work this weekend, pics below:
The turbo bracket is fixed to the old oil-cooler plate, oil cooler is on the front now. the bracket still needs a bit of work to angle the turbo a bit more.
with the turbo temp fitted.
My smallish Nos tanks and where they will sit.
And the dash fitting and rewire started (chucked out about 15kg of rubbish wire)
more pics to follow this week end. |

I havnt got a pic as yet, but basically the gte dampers are 6" short of the irs mounting points! I am probably going to move the turret lower down (just drill the spot welds and it comes away). Also what are your plans for the fuel tank? I have offered the calibra plastic one up and it hangs quite low. Probably a case of cutting the chassis rails a bit to allow it another couple of inches.
Cheers, Adam |
