Are you sure that the pistons dont make contact with the valves. The tuner I spoke to told me to make rom for the valves in the pistons like the standard ones.If you use the following link there is pictures of a GTE that has LET pistons in a X30XE engine.Enter the site and then click on the Gte then click on the picture of the compressor http://www.e-b-tuning.de/index.htm

V6 Power, i should have no problems with the pistons.. had a look at the site with the supercharged kadett...very nice work.

right, quick update, nearly finished fitting oil sprays and im still having problems finding rod-bolts for a bit more strenth..heads are being ported and polished this weekend while i have some free time at last, double springs for the valves, then pistons shall be fitted along with everything else, heads then fitted and manifolds and turbos over the next few weeks, then when 80% built i shall fit the RWD box and start to fit into the astra. Still have to fit electric PS and finish of the body work but hopefully it should be fired up quite soon.

Quality project Its going to be a weapon. Sure as hell wouldn't want to try it on with my mk3 let

You could put that engine in a boat and it will dust most things out there

Did a bit more work on the car today, mostly mesuring the engine bay to see how the V6, Turbos and RWD Gearbox will fit in. First thing to find was a problem that i knew will have to be sorted out...the steering unit sticks out a good 4-5 inch from the bulk head which means from steering rack to front slam panel i have 28 inches to play with...the engine is 29 inch but with clearance for the pipes and such it needs to be 32-33 inch. so, next saturday the slam planel and the part were the bonnet catch is shal be coming off, the gearbox housing area shall be cut and the engine put into the bay via the gap i have made with about an inch distanc from the steering rack. Then some spacers and plates shall be made up for around 90-100 mm to fit the slam panel and beam with the bonnet catch on back to the car. Then the panels for the subaru lights i have purchased shall be welded in and then the bonnet and bumper mesured up for extenstion and fabrication. I want to keep the GTE steering rack as is a flipping good one and with the gear box moved forward i will have to make up the selector rod a bit longer and the rwd shaft shall have to be fabricated. Also i have made the final mesurments for the wider rear aches that im working on at the moment and shall fit them over the week with the gsi rear bumper and twin. In the pics you can see the rear work in progres and were the twin back box will sit.
