Well....
Last weekend while at Turbodave's eating some health food (doner meat, chips and pakora) we ended up having a conversation about what you can buy for not a lot of money, we came to the conclusion the answer was not a lot but still we had a look on Gumtree to check. Our thoughts were confirmed , not all was lost though, I spotted a 1972 PC Cresta for not many pennies, the next morning with the help of James and his trailer it was in my possesion.
Here it is.....
Bought as a rolling shell (PO kept the engine/autobox which is fine by me) but it's a good base to start from being reasonably solid in a lot of places.
The bay is massive, the small block Chevy fits straight in though going with current prices it might not be happening anytime soon....
The interior is brilliant, no nasty modifications either....
The boot is equally as massive as the engine bay, James fitted in with ease (could have got another few in too), also came with a new fuel tank too which I imagine wouldn't be cheap/easy to source.....
Modern suspension.....
Guess why it's called Mr T....
On to the yucky bits, this was a bit that worried me with water getting inside and rotting wherever it went to, turned out not to be that bad after all....
Inner wings need a bit attention....
Footwells will as well....
Overall it's nowhere near as bad as it could be, I've seen much younger cars in much worse condition!
Plans are:-
Sort out the welding/body repairs
Do a lot of rewiring (not many wires on this :lmao
Make a BMW M30 3.5/5 speed fit
Lower it lots
Get nice big American wheels
Get it painted a better colour
Redo the interior with a lot of help from my Gran :lmao:
Drive around looking cool .
