Yesterday I had to order a new sill section as the arch panel on the drivers side was too short! Bit of a pain in the ass as it will set back the painting some more

today I ordered a new windscreen as a small chip turned into a monster crack during the frosty months

I've also just ordered top mounts, gas shocks, a front pipe gasket and some GM Motorsport mudflaps.

Boring wee update. Cars in the same state as the last update due to needing a sill section. A sill section that I ordered on the 5th of march and only came yesterday. Car won't be making an appearance at crail now .

However this pile of bits came.


2x fk shocks
2x strut top mount/bearings
2x GM down pipe gaskets (bought a spare)
4x GM Motorsport flaps
Polished oil cap
Stainless rocker cover bolt kit

Also been carless since January so bought maself a cavalier runabout last Thursday.


Got a proper grill of Tom yesterday and painted it. Also borrowing some turbines of a pal. Fixed a fuel leak and replaced a split induction pipe and it runs spot on now

ill be going to crail with this.

Yeah. No complaints yet. Fitted a new hand break cable last night.

Yup! It's a CDX with a coilpack XE and plenty of nifty bits.

The Astra's now had all welding complete and Is now undergoing the last run of body filler and prep. Here's the latest pics











Happy seeing it at this stage now, bodyshop reckons it'll be in primer before the weekend so ill hopefully have another wee update then otherwise next week

Here's the update I've been waiting for. Cars been sprayed now. Very pleased with the paintwork and its not even been sanded back or cut yet!

I should be getting it back down to my own house this week so I can start putting it back together.

Bought some Nexia 1/4 vents and I ordered some brand new gm doorstrips from Germany this morning too!
