yeah he's sending them to me tomorrow so I should have them in a couple of days

Powering through with relapping the valves and putting new stem seals in and it suddenly occurred to me that I forgot to put the spring seats in before the stem seals!! Ffs!!! So looks like im going to have to get some more seals tomorrow and start again!!

Ok so the x16 is complete now, my first go at timing an engine up has gone to plan I think lol we'll see when I turn the key in the next few days. Borrowing and engine crane from spinbitch, cheers bud! And ill be swapping the engines over tomorrow I will take lots of pictures and put them up in a couple of days , wish me luck!

Just finished for today,engine and gearbox is out tomorrow is an early start, putting the loom on the x16 and put the gearbox on it and all in into the car

yeah the only hiccup I've had so far is getting the driveshafts out the diff, but that was sorted swiftly , thanks again mate

Yeah I have some, but I've gotta get to a pc/laptop to upload them, mines broken :/ but I will have them up as soon as I can

Engines in and mounted up, mostly wired up and im just waiting for a new rad to arrive as I punctured my one :/, but there is a couple of things, the cam pulley sensor doesn't match up to any of the plugs I have free, and there doesn't seem to be a negative cable coming from any where the one which should go to the battery, there's a few wires that have been cut, im pretty one or two of them are earth wires by there are a couple that I have no idea where they go......

there's not too many to be honest mate. I've only just worked out where all of the wires go so hopefully ill have it running tomorrow, I need to go down the scrappy to get a r/h rad hose, the one that is an "s" shape. Got the driveshafts in today

People don't realise how awkward they look fixing cars. If you are 6ft plus and are bent over the engine bay of a slammed Corsa B for example and your missus gets an "action" shot, it is pretty demoralizing when you realise that even when you aren't mincing you look like you are mincing.

I like the ones of people under cars when just the legs stick out, it is like the car and owner are trying to be Flawless or Diversity when, in reality, the owner is about to drop an F20 diff cover on his/her face.

haha I know excatly what U mean lol i am 6 foot 5, and my corsa is lowered by 60mm, when im bent over the engine bay its open invitation! Lol

this is not a positive update.....

i broke my jack today and the throttle cable i bought isnt long enough and i still cant find my key with the x16 chip in it, and because of all of this i lost my rag and this is the out come :/

i need to tidy up the loom abit though

and my mate cutting the exhaust pipe i need to match up the system

yeah sort of, but now it gives me a reason to go out and buy some fibreglass arches. glad my girlfriend stopped me because i was going for the windows next, and i briefly decided to sell it and wrote up a for sale ad on mig but then my battery died on my phone, so i took that as a sign. decided to power on with it now and finish what i started

Been out in the snow this evening working on my car and got it started it only has the exhaust mani on the engine so was quite loud lol neighbours were looking out of their windows lol. It did cut out a couple of times but I think I know why so ill get on that Monday

ugh I really can't wait!!! I wanted to get it going tonight, but the neighbours wouldn't have approved and my dominos pizza had arrived

I'm working 14hours tomorrow so can't get it done tomorrow but Monday and Tuesday is all good
