Donk's Corsa C Z20LET Build.

So after having a DC2 Integra for about A year, I thought I'd best get something with some torque, I picked up my base car which is this Astra Coupe, which has spent most of it's life in the south of France, in the ownership of a retired old man.


It does seem a shame to rip it apart, the drivers bolster is worn, and the headlights have gone foggy. It's got a full frog Opel service history, and ticked past 100k today.

So my plan is break it, keep the running gear, then buy a base spec Corsa C.

They sure are, they're such a good price at the moment. It's a lovely drive, it really does seems a shame to scrap it.

Are you going for base model pre facelift? Like Amy's? If so her's is a "Comfort" and is well specced.

I'll do my best, to show how it's done. I might not show the wiring too much, since I'll be getting the info off Warren.

Yeah cheap as possible, with decent body work. I also need ABS.

Hopefully the rolling Z20LET conversion package I am selling goes into making a wee Corsa C ZLET. Shameless plug I know.

It will be good to see more info out in the open about the ZLET conversion.

Well the Tax ran out on the Astra today, it wasn't pooring it down, so I crack on stripping it.



Fingers crossed I can start taking the engine out on the weekend.

I've listed a few thing on Ebay, to try a free up some funds let me know if you need anything.

Crombievts na, I'm hoping to get one soon, I need a car anyway now the Astra is off the road, I can't really use my works van, and the wife is often out in hers.

I did plan to do a z20 but its easier to start with a 1.2 and mine is a 1.7 van so I opted for the c20. Are you going to use the f23 and cable shift from the donor car ?

Ah, right fair enough. I bought the Astra so I can use all the bits off it.

Foyracer has a C20XE Combo C, which is pretty cool.

If you no could you list the mounts needed to fit the f23 as I'm unsure. Will the cable shift gear stick be a direct fit to the corsa ?
