Thanks Tomo good luck on your own Calibra project

A look in the kitchen/office (dinner table to be specific), this is what I've been doing all afternoon yesterday and ever since this morning: going through every single bill that was paid for the car so far and put them in chronologically sorted order ....

Thanks, I keep doing my best to pull out all possible stops for a stunning presentation for the appraiser Sad thing is that my painter will go on a 1 week holiday to Silverstone tomorrow so I don't expect to be making updates as speedy as I would like.

    Re: Dutch Calibra Turbo

Right, managed to locate 2 badly needed brand new OEM fuel hoses through a German Opel dealership not too far from here and they were also able to order me the mirror control button with the switch to operate the Japan Only folding mirrors, now all I need to do is find the right side inner mirror arm 1426920 and a few feet of color coded wiring to make it all work together.

One minor thing is that I will have to compare the wiring schemes because the mirror control switch I'm getting is a RHD one.

    Re: Dutch Calibra Turbo

And today (thanks to a thoughtful fellow on a Dutch Opel forum) I seem to have found a 100% NEW Calibra Turbo OEM end muffler with EXACTLY the right part number (per opeloem.com) for cheap in an old parts stash from a dealership, this restoration journey keeps getting better and better!

    Re: Dutch Calibra Turbo

Been to the German dealership again this afternoon in between work where some nice bits were waiting for me. They say the devil is in the details as they say, a new antenna sprite and.... tire pressure prescription decal to go on the inner side of the fuel cap

And now.......... *drumroll*......... except for 1 mirror arm (GM #90510356, Opel # 14 26 920) these are all the parts for the Japan Only mirrors. The arm that can be seen here and the relais were already present, today the mirror switch was added to the bunch (note the light grey dot)

I did just that yesterday evening, still need to hear back from them or just try calling. Do they have a reputation for being able to get rare parts?

    Re: Dutch Calibra Turbo

Not yet if there will be more people like me who will want to keep them alive and not butcher them just for the engine and other parts. Maintaining them is SO much easier thanks to opeloem.com that there should not be an excuse anymore to just junk them!

Now about that illusive mirror arm .....

The copyright been saved to you anyway, so the fame is all yours.

This been a long talking about folding mirrors, with many rumors and other things, and your topic is very useful for it. No rumors, no crazy DIY things, just buy, set and forget.
Many thanks from Russia Caly club.
