Bought a corsa back last summer!! What a beaut. lol
Thats not me in the pics its my old man!!! lol
The motor itself was in pretty good nick, although some muppet had tried rebuilding the engine and ****ed it right up! lol.. So bought it off him for 100 notes, Sorted
Plan is to build a stripped out track car just for fun really. (on the cheap to!!)
Next up was stripping out the corsa. Gotta love a bit of ripping apart!!!
And thats all that got done last year, so i covered her over and left her until now!
So a couple weeks ago i decided to get the project going again.
I sourced an engine of good old ebay:
The engine itself turned out to be in really good nick..
Had been rebuilt by a company called dudley engineering??? (Anyone heard of them?)
It had been stood for a long time so thought id strip it to pieces.
Has anyone seen these pistons before?
Its been overbored to 86.47mm?
Next i started cleaning everything and starting to spray.
Got some mounts sorted and started to spray them
Bought a new header tank! Cant beat a new one of them..
Managed to get some buckets from my work mate. Not my first choice but they'll do for now.
Few bits ive got stashed in the cupboard at work.
Next up work on the rear beam.. gunna fit mk4 astra discs all round. Pics to follow.
love projects like these .... cheap fun fast striped out corsas i really want to do one but i always aim to high and always want to build a 500bhp c20let so i never get round to it
Hi seabodsxi, Project should be good fun... Hopefully in the future i'll turbo her!! We'll see.
Right today had a bit of time so thought me and dad would burn out all the old bushes ready for poly bushes!!

Also dad cut the old mounting plates for the rear brakes off, ready for a rear disc conversion:
In the week i'll be cleaning up all the bits ready for paint!!

(wish i had a nice warm garage to work in) LOL
looks good mate, brings back memories of burning out the bushes on my corsa. Stinks to high heaven and probably poisonous and environmentally unfriendly but about the only way you are ever getting them out without a press.
