    Astra GTE Z20LEH build

well i am just about to start my GTE rebuild..... i have everything i need but just decisions to be made along the way to what parts i use.

this was it back in 2001 with a c20let

then in 2009 it looked like this

then in 2010 i decided to strip it down for a respray

well thats how it currently sits so gonna start it this week, will update as i go along. i plan on using the Z20leh and m32 box

Nice looks a clean I personally would stick with a c20 as feel there much more aggressive than the z20's feel unless your going big power there's far to much turbo lag as well

Im going to use a DTA s60 ECU and a custom (homemade) wiring loom. everything on this car will be done by myself so its going to be a hard and long journey lol. the gearbox mounting and drive shafts are the only thing playing on my mind at the min. i have everything else covered

    Re: Astra GTE Z20LEH build

why dont you just use the f28 then. the shafts should be a straight fit from the astra vxr

If your going to use a z then definatly persevere with getting a m32 in there. Would also consider using zlet management aswell, tbh its just as good as s60 just doesnt do pops n bangs which imo is utterly pointless unless you have valves and turbo to hack ALS.

i dont want to use the f28 as its all been done before, the m32 is what should go with this engine so i am going to do my best with it. RS1 i am going with the DTA as it gives me room for movement so i can add things on as i afford them.... plus pops and bangs are always good lol

i will be yes, first job is to get the engine in on its mounts so i am happy with it, then engine back out and prep the bay for paint
