I thought its about time i started a build thread for my project i started about 2 years ago now, however its been put on hold for 10 months due to the painter taking the p1ss. So i'll add bits here and there and hopefully it will start to make sence
I've owned the car for about 5 years now and its undergone a few transformations since a standard 1.4 gls which was lime green, recently it was a 20xe painted in green/blue flip paint














The first of the upgrades from this stage where some big 6 pot ap racing brakes and some 17 inch wheels to fit them under



Then the xe started stalling at idel and nothing would cure it so i decided to take the engine out then and split it up to send the bottom half of the engine to a buyer in the states, so the LET was put on the engine stand and i started to strip it all down







Then i was left with the bare block to clean remove the casting marks from and clean before i sent it to steve boy slim for a rebore, skim and under piston oil jets


in the mean time i started work on the head

wasnt expecting the body kit style lol is it staying like that?, what spec have you in mind for reaching 500 ponies??

Whats the aim for the car once its all finished ?

i'm fitting a gsi kit now, just got that back from the painter and the fmic will be sticking out the front as on most corsa's running big power

sounds good, are you going to use custom inlet and what sort of turbo/mani are you going to use also what sort of engine managment will you go with?

gsi kit is simple but very afective imo

i've got a stage 2 dewis motorsport inlet tubular exhaust gt35 turbo if i remember right and megasquirt management with 4bar map sensor, i'll update more over the weekend photobucket isn't working at the min.

With a gsi kit in that colour it could look brilliant! Its not tooo wild a colour unlike some of the more purple or orange flip paints.

Try and cover the reg plate up a bit more mate or else you'll have the migweb police reporting you for it still being down as a 1.4!

ok so on to the head, i started with a standard coscast



Then the mods are



old valves which are being replaced with +1mm oversized valves, 3 angle valve seats, bronze valve guides double valve springs



and a diy port and polish



Block back from steves with under piston squirters installed and a skim.









There not vaux ones as they where on a stupidly long back order so i went for bmw ones instead



lick of paint to neaten it up









test fitted the intercooler and made some brackets for it then got to work chopping the front bumper to bits.



Found a complete 3" exhaust system and turbo as one but it was a t3 turbo so that got sold and replaced with a gt35

The paint job is a bit of a piss take tbh, the fella's had the car 11 months and half the stuff isn't painted properly so its all getting thrown back at him to sort it properly.

what copy gt35 is that matey? make sure u get a oil restrictor in there

It doesn't poke out that much tbh buddy an 8th of an inch from the ridge on the bumper.

It's a custom cooler from regal, it's 4 and a half inches thick.
Ron its john wilson on little shakey street, he said 5 weeks 2 grand, 10 months down the line he's now saying he wants £2750 and he's done less on it than what he originally quoted me for

Looks good, I would be intrigued how much clearance you have once the engine, turbo and rad are in there!

Who made the intercooler for you ?

cheers buddy, yeah i was told by regal been told smaller coolers will easily run 800hp so this beast christ knows.
