I striped out the gsi with what i belive i will need but any one think i may need any thing els pleas let me no as im not 100% my 1.2 has no power steering and what to keep it that way but the redtop engine has power steering pump and belt i dont no were or how i can change it to the single V belt? Any help with were to the the bis for that would be grate.

I striped the engine and gearbox with drive shafts suspention and ARB all attatched and then just lifted it in to the new car. the power steering belt it caching on the left top engine mount. I dont have a pic of this will get one tomorrow. I think i have the right mounts i brought new ones from ebay as my other shell was the gsi witch is type 2 i belive. Or the other way around. The wiering from the gsi was all sniped so i will have to just snip the wire from the 1.2 i have a conversion guide but its all ways help full for any one els to help. Also is the 1.2 8v fuel pump good enough? i have the one from the gsi so its ok if not just easyer i have all ready swaped the fule lines ends so it fits on the fuel rail.

I have done quite abit to this and still needs quit abit more but i have sorta stall with it and need some advise so i no what i need to do for the rest. also the break lines behind the power cap are to close and touch do i need to run new ones? i was guna replace with copper so not touching but i dont no if i can move engine foward or any thIing?

I started to strenthen the chassi and i have the strenthening kit witch i am goin to fit after its all up and running as i thort main thing was get it running first. Also what bits would i need of the gsi shell i have the hole car witch will be goin to scrap very soon and want to get all the bits of it first. So any one needing parts or no of parts i may need let me no

    How i got the car.

That's a nice instal...but the look is now "less is more". Leave the rear stripped out IMO.

I'd love to help on the conversion but your spelling makes it too hard to read. Spell checkers are free and would fix your problem.

Looks like a nice start to your project.

Are you building the car to be a "racer" or a everything car? Will you have rear seats? Google Chrome browser has a build in spell check which is very good.. I know i use it..lol

Right I started to strip it out as I have a leek some were and as you can see gone very moldy and have big puddles in the car. While I was there thought would be a good time to take sound deadening out as well. Hears a few pics. Also a few pics of my old daily driver until some one crashed in to the rear and unsure what's going on so pics of new daily driver I no not a Vauxhall!!

All of it come off very easy no heat needed I think was due to the water soaking in to it some bits just hit with a small hammer and chunks come off. Other bits just use screwdriver

Old one waiting for insruance company to sort out.

And what i am driving in the mean time come up very cheap so brought it as a run about

    I no

If you put that 206 back to standard it would raise a few hundred pounds selling the morettes, sp mesh, mirrors and wheels.

And you would be left still with a great daily driver.

no probs, also worth a check is the inlet into the bay for the heater matrix, also check that all the rubber grommits in the bulkhead for the looms etc haven't popped out.

most likely culprit is the brake servo hole into the cabin like I said, the seal usually perish usually caused buy water drain off channels becoming blocked up with muck n rotting the rubberised foam gasket sat between the bottom of the servo and the hole

get a mate to get a hose pipe on the car n see if you can spot where its coming in
