    Corsa B 1.4 16v Sport PEGGY

The day I got her she was Instantly named Peggy! For obvious reasons!

When I first saw her she had been lowered. Had a corsa before that was 40mm and that was firm enough. Test drove peggy and she was like driving a go kart! Been dropped 60mm.

I couldn't really knock the guy's price off really. I tried my absolute best to find something wrong. The most i could come up with was a very slight hole appearing in drivers seat. Which is very common on the sport interior. Oh and a slight ding from a car park.

HPI Clear, low mileage at just over 72k. Couldn't go wrong!

About a month or so later. A small amount of white smoke had started coming out the exhaust. Losing a very slight amount of water... This then made my heart sink. I just thought at the start its because I do short journeys and its cold. Then it started getting worse. Took it to a friend of mine and he told me the head gasket has gone. NICE! So while it was all stripped I thought i may aswell get everything done!

    New everything!
Water pump, cambelt, head gasket set, thermostat. The usual.

Since then, I have had no problems with her!

I then moved my number plate to my window for a short while as the plan is to smooth the front bumper off! With square plate at the edge.

After spotting some alloys off ebay that I got fairly cheap. I headed down to Birmingham to collect. However two of the tyres had no tread. Couldn't afford more tyres at the time so just stuck the back ones on.

In the meantime. Christmas was all go. Got the money for my tyres and spare to buy my sportex race tube. Standard backbox for the mo. Got everything sorted and on with one hiccup that it wouldn't fit onto my sports cat I got! Anyway. Everything got sorted. (rather raspy).

Went down to scrapyard. Got a back box yesterday and fitted it! It now is stupidly loud! lol

Whilst all this was going off. I acquired some coilies from a corsa C thinking they would fit... It seems not after yesterday. So they will remain sat in the house If anyone has any Corsa B coilies i would be happy to swap. Mine are TA Technix... Practically new!

Hope you guys like my peggy and I haven't bored you too much!

2ltr brakes to be put on soon!

Nice buy mate.. Looks very clean! The corsa sport wheel's that you got with the car suit it nicely imo with it lowered. What other plans you got in mind after the 2Ltr brakes are fitted?

Mantzel Powerbox or Dbilas Flowtec manifold is a good place to start. There's a very nice chap selling a Dbilas manifold on ebay right now actually... (Blatant plug)

As an alternative to tinting the rear lights, these are quite nice as well: R*ckleuchte R*ckleuchten SET Corsa B 3 T 93 00 Crystal | eBay

Dbilas manifold is way out my price bracket atm! and I was looking at german rears but you are paying a lot of money for them in the end. Shipping costs etc. But i do love them!

Small update. My exhaust had a slight blow to it so decided i wanted to jack it up and sort the rear hangers as the clamp keeps loosening

Exhaust clamp between sports cat and race tube wasn't hugely tight, so tightened up and all was good, sounded evil again. Not so long afterwards. Think the same problem has happened again. When i put the exhaust on I never used the exhaust stuff (putty?). Do i need to get some so it seals it all properly?

Induction kit when I had just put it on

My peggy on axle stands. Thought it was pretty funny as splitter was touching floor... Thought i'd take a quick pic

And I would like to know if anyone knows how to fix this problem... Its hanging way too low for my liking!
