    z18xe Corsa C Progress thread

So, I sold my car last week, was a sad sad day being driven by a girl (no offence to the promo's! )

    Prime:

that was an end of an era, but on friday I made the 153 mile trip to weston-super-mare to pick up the new car!

    Need to fix:
Blowers (constantly blow onto windscreen and nothing else) - FIXED
    Loose scuttle panel
Front speakers move around and rattle - FIXED

    Cosmetic plans are:
Finish the color-code on front bumper, as well as smooth bumpstrips
    Repair rear bumper
    Irmy rep splitter
Irmscher Heck spoiler in 20r - DONE

    Performance plans are:
    Coilovers
Dbilas inlet manifold - Possibly get in a few weeks
    Fast road cams
John Ashley 4-1 manifold with straight through system - DONE
Closed induction kit with forced air intake - DONE

The car already has a remap on it from the previous owner where he was running 170bhp. I plan to get the car back up to that sort of power.

    More updates

Update! With pictures! Finished work at 3:30 today, and had a parcel when I got home, a very long and narrow parcel (my straight through had arrived)

I was looking outside and was umming and arrring about whether or not to fit it, eventually I decided lets do it, here's how I got on.

so onto the exhaust, I unbolted the complete system from the car (leaving the manifold on) and got to work!

completely shagged a blade doing it, but it was worth it!

    removed article, bye bye silencer!

This is what was replacing it ..... for now

    All on, simples!

Im not quite sure on the sound yet, because I've still got a standard 1.8 backbox on there it ends up being very raspy. My dad on the other hand likesthe sound.

I may upload a video of it later.

Only took an hour to do but doing it on the floor was quite tiring.

UPDATE: Brakes are too big for my wheels (because of the dish) they usually fit under most 16" wheels such as Sri's/comp MO5s etc. but I'll have to get the 280mm brake upgrade instead of these bad boys.

I also removed all tints for the smooth look. Don't really like tints anyway.

Re: z18xe Corsa C Progress thread

So, after a few weeks wait my wheels finally arrived, so I popped down to Top Gear in St Albans for them to be fitted. Tires off old wheels, put onto the new ones, balanced and fitted!

I'll let the pictures do the talking:

They're 7J cades eros (in gold if you couldn't tell) with 195/45/16

Got some nice shots in the graffiti tunnel in london (2AM meet) we also drove around london making LOTS of noise, was interesting with my decat

    Updates! Brakes! (VERY necessary)

I think the parcel could be fragile... not too sure on that. Although I did drop it on the floor when I tried to pick it up, it's very heavy! Could of done with Heavy and Fragile stickers

    Yay my newspaper arrived!

    mm drilled and grooved goodness!

Everything new, apart from carriers which are reconditioned

BTW, my old discs are the standard 262mm. These bad boys are 308mm! Big brake upgrade

From the pictures it looks like someones gone mad with the drilling machine and done a lot of holes. The brakes were designed for the Astra VXR which is 5 stud, the corsa is 4 stud.

Just need to get them fitted now :/ need a 30 torx

Will the exhaust now not be very loud?

Love the wheels, i looked at them for mine. Nice project dude. Keep it up.
I'm louder than gods own revolver and twice as shiney.

Removed the silencer and it's got a decat too so its very loud. I just need to get rid of that back box still. Hate how loud it is sometimes. Especially how raspy it is.

Yea people love the wheels lol. So much I've got to do though.

Fix the burning oil - Piston rings I hope
    Need new bumper and bonnet
    New boot
Secure the interior again as it use to be stripped and seems like it wasn't put in properly. Rattles a fair amount.
    Get it stanced properly.

    Then the mods I want:
    Dbilas inlet manifold
    lightened flywheel
    Fast road cams
    Re-map

I've already got 4-1 John Ashley exhaust manifold. a Pipercross enclosed induction system (no heat soak here!) and a remap from the previous owner. So I'm hoping on a healthy 135-140bhp from standard 125. I match a Fiesta ST from 30-80 but beat it off the line, so I'm happy.

End result I want 175bhp or there abouts which is fairly achievable with the z18xe engine.
