Red Astra Mk4 Gsi Turbo

After selling the vxr, thought id go back to my preffered choice, a mk4! Searched high and low for another arden blue gsi, as i loved the one i had before, but had been hasstling a boy locally for this one and eventually got him to sell for a decent price. Got a couple of plans for it;

Wind deflectors
HID's
Front bumper number plate surround painted black like my old gsi
Vaux flaps

ordered the above, and booked in at a garage down here for them to have a look at the bumper. Got a few more things on order, led bulbs for the rear lights and number plate light etc.

currently running around 260bhp, well so i was told, and certainlly feels it as its got more kick than the vxr and certainlly gives others a few scares absoloutly decked at the back so might need to raise it as its scrapes , alot but who knows! Was going to sell it, but fancy keeping it now and spending some money on it, try and maybe break the 300bhp mark!

Love this GSi martin!! downsize to 18s though! by the way.. why does it have chrome headlights? GSi's came standard with black/tinted ones?

MK4s handle SOOO much better on 16s rather than 19s, I've tried both

Red gsi's must be rare are they? Never seen 1 before. I like it though, even with the big wheels look better gloss black though i think but each to their own. Do love the mk4 gsi's but not sure if i prefer them to a vxr. What made you change?

I thought mine was alright on coilies but then i got a clio 182 & made my astra look very average handling wise

thats compairing them to other **** handling cars. i went from a ctr to my gsi and it was like driving on ice

all my cavaliers handle bettwer than any mk4 astra has

and mk3 astras the handling on them was prity good , had some crazy times in mk3 astras, would never have made it in a mk4 tho, and your saying it was a coupe , fook

and yes second to them are Vectra B's, they are hellish handling cars never liked the setup of either of the two , like they spent the money for updating it somewhere else , where who knows

Well I've had 2 coupes 1.8 and 2.0 turbo and the 1.8 handled so much better but wasn't that fast

I've driven a DC2 and EP3 and I didn't like them tbh, each to their own I suppose

I second that....I had a Vectra GSi to....very hard as standard..even worse on coilovers.

Loving the gsi though mate....and it's red ftw.
Keep the 19's and paint em gloss black.
