hi nik any reason why you have gone b205 as these use the later mount design, and are the worse engine design, mounts will be custom for a nova and chassis leg will need modifying or cutting back

the reason was just got offord it from a mate ye was lookin around the engine earlier and realised it gonna be little harder than straight dropin is there anywhere that knows exactly where will need cutting out??
Only two Saab engines that I know of that have been put into a Nova. A 2.5 v6 one I think and a B204L which would be the one to go for. Although the guy using the B204L had problems with the LH front mount and quite alot of the chassis leg has to be cut away apperently
ow dear am gonna have some problems then good job got plenty of time to do it erm thanks for the help
Are they not too tall for a nova though?
Id imagine either a modified sump and pickup or a bulge in the bonnet will be needed.
i had a go at doing one a while ago and i had to remove both chassis legs to get it to sit central !! didnt get finished so engine came out and shell weighed in as was taking up needed room!! its not the sort of thing you want to do for your first conversion
^ B205 ? ^
B204 is a bit narrower i think so probably a better starting point. Doubt it would be easy though.
hmm seems like a big one not my first convertion but a c20xe into a corsa was easy may put engine up for sale then and just get another c20xe thank you everyone for advice
anything is posible it just depends how far you want to go. i have a b204 in a corsa c its a lot of work but it is somthing diferant.
All that engine is good for is a boat anchorsack it off and stick a xe in, you'll have it running in a weekend

i would have to agree with dewis fit an xe or if you want more a let mutch easier to do.
