    Smile Satin Red Corsa B

hi guys just new to mig web..thought i would start a project thread.. Bought the car just over 1 1/2 years ago off an elderly lady, owned it from new, full vauxhall service history, 56.000 miles on an X reg. Only thing the car was needing was a good polish, thrust bearing in the gearbox and all the dog hair's removed from inside lol...anyway i will let the pics do the talking...

    The day I got it.

opel steering wheel, opel caliper stickers, opel wind deflectors, rear mhw's and opel mudflaps, opel bootlock

full calibra leather (cream), rear headrests, cream leather gear stick gaitor(sp), black roof liner< a,b,c pillers, sunglasses holder

fitted a seat torledo front splitter< gsi spoiler, standard rears (no pics yet) and opel center cap badges

stayed like that for a while, then i got a gsi bumper and smoothed the top grill, foglights and meshed it as the grilles were all cut out, got vectra b skirts and made them fit, bumper tops, arches and skirts done gloss black and bottom halfs satin red. also got a mint set of cav gsi 2000 wheels pics to follow

stayed like that for a while then one nigh i went to the pics, came out and my car had been keyed both sides. front light to back light...felt like my world had ended lol...so back to the drawing board, worked, worked saved and worked more lol to give it a makeover......

-Full Respray in Vauxhall Satin red (full outside, inside shuts and slam pannel)
-genuine GSi bumper with fogs, grilles, splitter and all clips
-all bumpertops and arches, mirrors, boot lock, skirts done Vauxhall saffire Black
    -wheels sprayed silver

after building it all up and have gave it a machine buff and a clean inside i was very pleased with how it looked, so i then moved on to the engine bay. Yes i know its only a 1.0 but as its all i can afford to insure i thought i would make the most of it, after all you cant have a nice car outside and a black oil covered engine bay lol....
so some paint, polish and some hard elbow grease this is how it turned out...

Peased the way that turned out i took the car to alot of cruises and car shows the added a few other extras, south african rear lights, recaro seat badges and opc sill protectors....also cleaned and painted under the arches and a new exhaust 5x3 oval cat back...

    Re: Satin Red Corsa B

pictures iv took from shows, after cleaning it and a couple the fast car guy took

one of mine and my dads old vectra

    some reflection/paint shots

After i attended all the shows etc i was really pleased with how the car looked and was surprised but happy with all the interest and looks it got...some people werent happy it was a 1.0 but oh well im happy with it...When I attended Scottish Car Show i was approched with 2 guys. Steve McCann & Chris Peacock..they got chatting about my car and after talking to steve at previous shows and cruises (he took the pics for the fast car website) they both thought the car had potential for a feature. me being car mad was over the moon and pleased that my hard work has been appreciated and recognised with two top guys in the mag/photoshoot industry. Steve got in contact with me a few weeks later and sayed Total Vauxhall would be happy to do a photoshoot of my car for there mag, as its a budget built (in terms of small engine and low insurance)...I done my photoshoot a few months back with steve McCann and all i can say is im happy with the pics and how it looked. cant wait to see the feature even though i drive the car every day.....will keep you's updated when it comes out

sorry about the long storys, hope you's have enjoyed the rerad and pics. still a few touches i want to make to the car but will not be started till after new year.

    All comments and critisism welcome

    Thanks for looking....Jordan.....

    Steve is a diamond.

Good to hear a total Vauxhall feature is coming soon. Glad they appreciate small, insurance friendly engines too.

    Re: Satin Red Corsa B

thanks mate as for the skirts, i had to cut about 7" off the rear of them, mold on the end cap and cut little bevels where they sit around the arch, and attach them to the car, not major work but worth it and look different from the usual gsi or irmscher ones....

    Re: Satin Red Corsa B

bang on, looks great, who cares if it's only a 1.0, it's what you do with it that counts and yours looks great. get yourself a new header thank though dude, will make a big difference (unless you have already and im just seeing it in odd light).

the original interior is mental. surprised you weren't tempted to keep it hahaha!
