    Arden Blue Corsa Sport

Way back around january this year my brother decided paying 220 a month insurance for his calibra was just to much so the hunt was on for a swap and up popped this corsa sport. A call was made and two days later a deal was done and my brother now had another corsa. This is how it looked when he got it

After a few months my brother killed the fuel pump and the wiring to it. So i bought it off him replaced the fuel pump and wiring to it. It still looked the same as it does above for a while until the tyres started to get low, a wanted to change them anyway so sold them and bought a set of cesaros. Also fitted a new exhaust and swapped my sport front seats for a set of black buckets.

Subsequently i got bored and my brother ended up with the corsa again, his second time of ownership didnt go to well. After a few months a burst coolant hose ended the engines life through headgasket failure. I was tempted to buy it back again for the second time but having a saxo with no mot i had no place to keep it. One of my pals eventually gave my brother a crappy 1.2 corsa and 200. It sat for the next month doing nothing until he offered me the corsa for the saxo, somehow i didnt refuse the offer and the next day i owned the corsa again.
Now i have had the corsa since september in storage at a yard but after my dad finally allowing me a space on the drive i quickly got it trailored up to my house.

Check the water around it, going to get soaked doing anything.

So instead of going to all the effort of doing a headgasket, something i have never attempted before, i decided just to buy a running engine and got a belter i couldnt turn down.

And seen as my dad wont let me keep my engine in the shed it had to go somewhere

This is all for now more to come soon

Removed an axle off my pals Corsa that is going scrap to sort my back axle and also bought a new petrol tank seen as mine leaks when you fill up with more than 20 quid. Was meant to get my exhaust yesterday but due to all the snow postponed it till the weather improves

    Re: Arden Blue Corsa Sport

Due to bad weather I have had no electricity for 5 days so not been able to do much and with my brothers van being broke I havnt been able to pick up anything but it's finally fixed so seized the opportunity and went and got my exhaust, it's a bastuk stainless steel thing only got it cause mine is way to loud. Also got my spare gearbox and 2 boxes of spares. Maybe go back up again this weekend to get a safety devices rear strut brace and 2.0 brakes for free.

Managed to get a bit done to car aswell, seen as I don't need my old Redtop engine I am splitting it into pieces so all that remains to be removed is shafts, block and gearbox. Just need some decent weather.

The engine is now finally out and replaced the coolant pipe that caused the headgasket issue so it doesn't happen again with my new engine, no pictures as yet

Well thats me basically up to the point i can be untill the 6 inches of water thats under the car goes away, got everything wired above the engine, couldnt fit exhaust due to the rest of the old exhaust obstructing it. Now just a waiting game, hopefully dry up for the weekend
Also the picture above is one of my brother helping out with the engine, a rare site

I won't give up to many people have told me I can't do it which makes me more determined to prove them wrong.

I have thought of moving it but it would then obstruct the footpath which isn't alowd according to my dad, might just have to do it anyway.

Got a few bits done today, top half of wiring done, coil on, air flow on, induction kit, throttle cable and fuel lines. Found out i have snapped my brake servo vacuum so got my pal hunting his garage to see if hes got one lying around. Also dropped off some wheels at quick fit to get the tyres swapped over.

Cheers mate I am hoping it all goes well to, geting close to the all important fire up.

Yesterday I got loads done, for the first time in 2 months the corsa is back on all 4 wheels. Fitted driveshafts, balljoints, starter motor, radiator, most of coolant pipes attached and some more wiring.

Not long till I can fire it up, can't wait

    Re: Arden Blue Corsa Sport

Yea it does, I nearly bought a Tigra Redtop this weekend because of it but the guy decided he had valued the car to low and wanted more money even though we agreed on a price, it's the main reason I got so much done this weekend in rage.

I have never done an engine change so good to know I havent failed if it doesn't fire up right away
