    Cavalier Calibre & SRi130

Smile My Cavalier MK2 SRi130 Saloon

As quite a few people on here know, I have a 35K Cavalier Calibre, and have a project thread of a previous Calibre I restored last year on here too.
I am a die-hard Calibre fan but this really is something just as special in it's own way.
I have been gathering parts for it, and I am trying to resist from buying new parts... Which doesn't seem to be working ;D
I have been generally tidying it up, my cousin was down recently and we managed to get it running, after a previous owner ran it on diesel.
Think the engine is a goner, one lifter was floating in the cam housing plus there was quite alot of blue smoke.
This has mega rare factory fitted electric windows all round, central locking and power steering ;D
Here are some pictures for you guys...

I also found this mega cool drawing whilst cleaning it out ;D

Got back yesterday evening after a 420mile round trip for a £40 SEH engine, hardly seems worth it lol, nonetheless, SEHs are getting scarce so
    it was worth it.

Found a brand new genuine blue/grey saloon bumper, still in the original GM packaging ;D
The original has rusted away on the mounts and isn't in the best of condition...

    New genuine aerial...

Managed to get hold of two new foglights...

    New headlight wiper blades...

The front middle skirt has two screw holes in it, so I thought what is the point in just buying the middle one, so bought the rest of them new too ;D

And also managed to source a brand new rear 130 skirt set too, with new clips ;D

Will update this thread as I go along

Not done anything with it recently mate, hoping to get it down to my brother's garage very soon so I can start stripping it down etc.

Mostly from Europe, but a few parts I get from here when they come up.- Look at my Calibre thread for more new parts

Re: My Cavalier MK2 SRi130 Saloon

It's been a very long weekend for me. I did 700 miles since Saturday 6pm till yesterday 10pm, I got in at 7am Sunday morning from working through the night on Saturday, had 2 hours sleep and then my son woke me up.
Killed 4 birds with one stone so there was alot of stopping and starting ;D

I managed to get a whole lot of parts, I could of got more but there was no space left in the car.
    Here's what I got:
Was supposed to be getting a new front bumper and new side mouldings but that didn't happen, I did manage to get
three of the side mouldings so just the other three to get now.

New gm rear spoiler clips, side moulding clips and rivets

New gm rear fuel pump bobbins

New gm headlamp wiper arm rests and bumper jets

New gm indicator. Need to get the other side now too.

    New gm rear boot cover

    New gm saloon 130 exhaust

Managed to get a mint set of side mouldings so I may get the other new three mouldings but will probably put these on
as the main objective with this car is to drive it as much as I can, and keep the Calibre as a show piece.

Got an original radio for it too, it was a bonus too as it has come from a steel grey 130 saloon, it will live on in another one ;D

Got a steering wheel as I don't want the MK3 one in it, also a dash clock as the one in it is faulty, and also a mint seat so I can repair my drivers bolster. Also some spare 130 headrests just incase I decide to do a rear headrest conversion, although the car will probably stay 100% standard so I doubt it.

And the car as it stands ;D

Still need to collect some parts so will do that when I get a chance next.
