    Opel Kadett C -75

Hello! First at all, sorry about my bad english. It has been couple of years when I had to wrote in english at school and I am now trying to remember how to write in english

Picture from January 2011 when I bought the car

This is my Opel Kadett C from the year 1975. I bought it last January and since then I have done some work on it.

It had original 1.2 litre ohv engine but nowadays the situation is different.
    Some specs:
-C20NE engine from Opel Omega (Vauxhall Carlton)
    -R25 gearbox
-Rear-axle from Opel Manta A 1.9SR with original diff. lock.
-Drivesaft is selfmade (front from Omega and rear from Manta)
-Front brake disk are from Opel Rekord and calipers are from Volvo 240 (4 piston Girling)
-Brake booster from Opel Ascona B
    -Front axle have been reinforced
    Those are the main components.

    After removing the old engine.

New rear axle from Manta A

Front axle after reinforceing and painting it.

    New frontbrakes

New engine at the enginebay. Enginebay needs to be painted.

First proper testdrive after the engine change.

With the 15" steel rims from Astra. At this condition I took car to the MOT and now it is streetlegal

Mainly I have been focused to the technic but now I am focusing to the interior, bodywork and respraying. Rear of the car needs to be lowered and it needs also some more power...

Im not sure how I am going to get more power but if I dont get better idea, I had bought one option:

Because of winter, car is now at garage. Now I am changing new rearwheel arches, fixing panel gaps and dents. I am already waiting next summer when I can drive this again. My dailydrive Astra mk3 wont give same feeling

Those summertyres were pretty slippery on snow

At last, summer is coming! I have driven abaut 200km and hopefully in few weeks Kadett is gonna be my dailydrive.
In those 200km I drove, I get this feeling that c20ne is not powerfull enough. Firstly I was thinking to turbocharge that c20ne but somehow I get better idea and bought some goodies

    X20xev from 1995 Opel Omega B

And 46mm Mikuni throttlebody from Suzuki

Next job is make intake and exhaustmanifold. Also I need to buy Megasquirt.
